Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1995 Suzuki Intruder VS 1400 GLPS that I purchased new in July of 1995. About three years ago I put on a set of Vance & Hines Classic Slashcut slip-ons, K&N Pod Air filters, and rejetted the carbs. But I never dialed in the carbs too well before life got too busy to do it right. So the bike has for the most part sat in my garage with me occasionally starting it up to run it a bit. While it does run, the idle is too low and will stall if the throttle is completely closed. But as I earlier, I just really have the time to finish the project and it is time to sell it. The bike has always been stored in the garage and not outdoors. The bike comes with a Suzuki OEM Gel Seat Set installed and the original seat set also comes with the bike. Furthermore, the original air boxes (that were removed for the K&Ns) also are included. The bike also comes with a set of leather saddlebags, Suzuki Service Manual, and Clymer Maintenance Manual. The bike has no major defects, but there is a small ding on the left side down header where a rock hit it. There is a series of small scratches on th eleft side of the tank, but I had a paint shop look at it and tell me they are only within the clear coat and could be wet sanded out. I never bothered, but I do beleive their assertion is probably accurate. The photo of the scaratches didnt come out too good so I will attempt to rephotograph later. The bike has fallen over a couple times over the years but never at any real speed so there is no frame damage at all. But the edges of the chrome on the mirrors have some blemishes as do a couple of the turn signals. I think that is it. Please feel free to ask questions. On Feb-12-11 at 11:24:04 PST, seller added the following information: Since there seems to be more interest in the back than I had anticipated, I figured I would look it over a bit more closely and add some more photos to help in clarification. The bike exhibits pretty standard blemished for being 16 years old, but I figured I would highlight some of that. I took another close up of the left side tank scratches and included a ruler in the photo. They really are pretty minor, but again, in the interest of disclosure, figured I would make this stuff known. I also noticed there is a small (less than half inch diameter ding on the upper right side of the gas tank. It shows up only in certain lighting (I had forgotten about it until just now since it is not real obvious). I actually took two shots of it. The first is a close up and the second back a bit, but in the second you cant see it anymore. So its pretty minor. I also took a photo of the front fork tubes. You can see the blemishes on the aluminum section from highway driving. They dont show up on the chrome part and I have heard the aluminum can be buffed out again but have never done it. I also took a photo of the back of the front fender. There are some minor scratches (all appear to be in the paint clear coat and I am certain they would buff out) on the bike but none are deep enough to have hit paint or ever shown rust. So I would again offer they are pretty minor, but like I said the bike is 16 years old so it aint gonna be perfect. Anyway, thanks for the interest.
