Vehicle Detail
THIS AUCTION COMES WITH A LOT MORE THAN THE 240z!!!!! Look at my other items being listed if you are a Z-car nut Two questions have been asked a number of times: Can I part out this lot (as in sell the other set of wheels separately)? I am not offering that option. There is a bright side to this, it goes something like: "Babe, you will not believe what a deal I got on this bid. I can sell half of this stuff and pay for most of what it cost me to buy the car!" Why am I selling this car? Since I have moved from CA to TX I have not found a track to race this car at. Now that there are two nearby, I do not have the money to run it (racing is expensive!) My wife has been without a job for 18 months, so the cash would be very helpful. You can also call me at (832) 969-4910 WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW First, notice that I have a 100% eBay rating with over 700 positive feedbacks Although this car started off as strictly for street use, it slowly morphed into a race car. It can be converted back to street use fairly simply. Items like putting in horns, adding windshield wipers will need to be done (most of stock parts are in the boxes of parts). The biggest challenge will most likely be setting up the handbrake for the rear discs if you want to drive it as a daily driver. Frame is straight, car has never been in a wreck. Braided gas line hoses are actually a dress-up kit This car has not been driven for 11 years, though the motor has been started up every once in-awhile. You will, at minimum, need to go through items such as the brakes, fuel lines (fuel in the tank & carbs has been kept clean through draining when the engine is run), clutch hydraulics. The tires currently mounted on the rims are now 11 years old. The race tires and are definately no longer safe for use on the track. The street tires are shaved down to about 1/32". The fiberglass will need to be filled and sanded in some spots to remove pin-holes and fill any imperfections. If you want this to be converted for street use, you will need to fit the original doors as the Arizona-Z fiberglass ones are notious for not lining up very well. The car will need to be painted (unless you like the flat black look) Fuel guage is installed, but sensor will need to be fitted (sensor comes with car) I do not have a 100% accurate reading on the mileage. As is sometimes the case Z speedo cable drives snap or the speedo instrument goes kaput. This is my best guess. There are about 1,800 miles on the stroker motor since it was refreshed in early '96. THE BAD Surface rust on some areas of underbody; items like the cross member, oilpan, etc & inside (see pics) Three small dents on rhs of roof (see picture) Though you can run through the gears when the car is turned off, and though the clutch slave cylinder moves the fork, the transmission will not work when the car is running. Remember, this car has not been driven for 11 years. SHIPPING AND PAYMENT: Buyer is fully responsible for shipping. Car is located in Pearland, TX 77584 Parts/items will not be removed so as to discount the price. No matter what you choose to take home from this lot, the bid price is the final price. There is a bright side to this. It goes something like: "Babe, you will not believe what a deal I got on this bid. I can sell half of this stuff and pay for most of what it cost me to buy the car!" $500 deposit will be required within 72 hours of winning bid. PayPal must be used.
