PLEASE READ ENTIRE LISTING...Yesterday i picked up my truck from the differential shop and it wouldnt fire up just kept cranking??i sprayed a shot of carb cleaner in the carb and it fired like a kitten.( never had that problem before) So i thought i better take it to riverside Carb and electric (awesome shop race cars classics etc) i drove about 30 miles to the speed shop and bought a petronics electronic ignition. I was going to have riverside carb give it a nice tune up and take the points out( change to electronic ignition), change the plugs,etc.They called me later that night and said i cant believe this thing runs??????WHAT i said, he says it only has 35to50 psi in each cylinder???he says i need a new cam maybe flat or maybe valve job?? THIS TRUCK WOULD MAKE IT TO NEW YORK runs very strong and smooth??strong , NO SMOKE NONE, purrs like a kitten?? i am very confused. This TRUCK RUNS AWESOME???Here is your chance to steal it off me and rebuild motor ( if needed???) YOU CAN DRIVE THIS TRUCK TODAY ACROSS COUNTRY WITH A NEW SET OF TIRES ( serious)...you just need a shot of carb cleaner when ice cold then she starts the rest of the day no problem?? .......Here is one of the hardest trucks to find 1961 W200 CALIFORNIA RUST FREE rust free rust freeTRUCK only 258 v8 made and another 200 or so ? 6 cylinders. This truck was special ordered by a old man in a LITTLE GOLD MINNING TOWN Ransburg, CA on HWY 395 with a v8 radio (lights up no sound) and a cigarette lighter. It was used for minning then sat for years. The 2nd owner was always looking for a 1961 and purchased the truck in 1987 and spent 1000's of hours and over 3 years restoring the entire truck. The truck had about 30,000 origanal miles on it when he purchased it. I have 100's++++ of receipts. He had everything on the truck freshened up EVERYTHING. ALL STOCK BUT FRESH. He spent about $4000 on the original 318 poly, rebuilt the 4 speed transmission, rebuilt front and rear ends, added hedders, new drive shafts,I have the stock 2bbl intake manifold( he spent many hours looking for a 4bbl intake (on it now) and a N.O.S 1961 4bbl carb. This truck has not one rust spot underneath ZERO never ever. I will add the pictures of the truck before and after restoration photos in 1987 to1990. After restoration he enjoyed the truck with his family on trips and misc. After about 10 years he put about 70,000 miles on the truck and brake master cylinder went out. He parked the truck and the rest was history. I purchase the truck about a year ago. I have spent many hours and lots of money$$$. I have replaced the waterpump factory original rebuilt( not china junk) all hoses new, belts,had the radiator completly cleaned and gone through, thermostat, rebuilt carb by the master of old carbs bob harris, had gas tank acid washed , new gas lines, filters, filler gromet, all new brake wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, new clutch master, brakes are like new, stops like a new car,the engine purrs like a kitten with a lope rrrrmmmmrrrrmmmmbabababa. has hedders. It is at a very well know differential shop DIFFWORKS( thats all they do ) getting new ring and pinion bearings etc etc and a N.O.S rebuilt POWER LOCKER the best of the best locker in the rear(built by tri county jeeps) good for street and off road and serviced the front diff (like new). 4x4 works like new. transfer case rebuilt, i have the original 1956 california yellow plates for the truck. The only rust on this truck is on the tailgate ( FROM A DIFFERENT TRUCK) when the truck was purchased it didnt have a tailgate so he purchased one from oregon. I HAVE ANOTHER TAILGATE THAT IS FROM SUNNY in awesome condition that goes with the truck. I have the stock wheels and tires, i have another set of guage clusters, the wheels that are on the truck are the very hard to find deep 10 inch ford wheels. I was going to grab a set at pick a part of stock 16 inch wheels and put a set of skinny 235/85/16 32 inches tall and only 7 inch wide tire in firestone destination mud or the new BFG mud tire or the 255/85/16 8 inches wide and 33.3 tall. I really like the super skinny look. The tires on the truck still have the nipples but need to be replaced ( sat for about 5 years) i drive the truck on the freeway and around town but NEEDS NEW TIRES ( you put what you like ,wide, tall,???. this is one awesome rust free truck in awesome condition. The paint is in fair condition for being 22 years old.THIS TRUCK IS AN INVESTMENT. THIS IS THE ONLY 1961 W200 I HAVE SEEN IN YEARS. these old 4x4 trucks are getting very collectable and hot(imagine in the future) the NEW TRUCKS ARE PLASTIC JUNK tin. This truck is solid and YOU WILL NOT FIND ANOTHER like it. Most of these trucks have ROT YIKES if you see rust what about what you dont see???you cant stop the rot,this truck has no rust LOOK at the pictures. OH THE TRUCK HAS A ( TINY )RUST BUBBLE IN THE LOWER DRIVER DOOR about the size of an eraser head on a pencil .OH the steering wheel is in very nice condition with original red horn cap NICE.if you have questions NO LOOKIE LOOOSSS 951 965 8428 jeremy
