You are bidding on a low-mileage government owned and serviced, 1994 Ford E350 converted by Faber Specialty Vehicles into a Bookmobile. This unit has only 50,701 miles on it! Carfax verifies the clean title and actual mileage on this one (click the CARFAX emblem below to see the entire report for free). This vehicle has been owned in San Antonio, Texas it's entire life. It has no paintwork and NO rust on it. The paint is still shiny and bright. It does have scratches and a few dings on it. I figure most people will be repainting it or wrapping it, so no sense is running up the price I can sell it for. The body is extremely straight. Everything except the cab is fiberglass. It comes with a power handicap ramp in the front door, also. PLEASE LOOK AT THE 80 PLUS PICTURES I HAVE POSTED (HINT: CLICK ON A LITTLE PICTURE AND IT WILL REPLACE THE LARGE ONE. JUST SCROLL BACK UP TO SEE IT.) The 10K watt Kohler diesel generator has 5471 hours on it. It fires up with no problems and runs perfectly. It is rated at 42 amps. The interior has reclining bucket seats in the front for two people. There is the normal heating and air conditioning in the front section. This van also has tilt and cruise and am/fm/cassette radio (this is wired into speakers thru-out. The front cab section has vinyl seats and rubber floor mat. The rear section has carpet thru-out. There is approximately 130 linear feet of bookshelves in this bookmobile. All the metal shelves at 7 inches deep and are removable. The interior is 80 inches tall and 85 inches wide at the widest section. It is 51 inches wide between the wheel wells. The rear counter is 25 inches deep. The overall interior is 18 feet long. The counter by the front door is on hinges and can be swung out of the way if needed. The unit comes with 12 volt lights in the ceiling along with 6 skylights (so you don't always have to run the generator. There are twin Coleman A/C units mounted on the roof that work perfectly. These also have heating. There are also twin Qmark heaters by the front and rear doors. The doors themselves are 34 inches wide each. The interior walls are well braced and insulated. It would be very easy to remodel this unit for any purpose you wish. The overall vehicle is 29 feet long and about 10 ft 1 in. tall. It is wired for back-up camera, but the front monitor has been removed. You would need to add a new one and hook it up to have this feature. It has almost brand new Firestone Transforce tires on it. They are wearing evenly and smoothly. THIS UNIT APPEARS TO HAVE NEVER BEEN SMOKED IN.
I have had the vehicle inspected by a mechanic. He found it to be in good mechanical shape with only normal wear. I have had the filters, fluids and belts all inspected and serviced as needed. THIS UNIT HAS BEEN EXTREMELY WELL MAINTAINED BY THE CITY IT'S ENTIRE LIFE AND IT SHOWS. We found very little that needed to be done. We also sent it thru a front end shop and had it serviced, aligned and inspected. THIS UNIT IS READY TO BE DRIVEN ANYWHERE AND BE PUT TO WORK. We drove it from San Antonio, Texas (0ver 200 miles) with no problems at all. It comes with both front and rear air bag suspension for a nice ride. The transmission shifts out solidly and smoothly with no issues. These are built with front-wheel drive, both rear axles are freewheeling. This makes it lower to the ground and makes it turn better, also. Faber Specialty Vehicles is still in existence and parts are easy to get. The only things I have found that don't work are the fog lights and the rear view camera (monitor is gone). Both front and rear air conditions blow ice cold and the heaters are all warm and toasty. I take pictures of all my vehicles as they are when they come to me. I don't detail them and shine them up to hide stuff in the pictures. The pictures of the underneath show you the normal road dust and the fact that there is NO RUST. I will have this one detailed and awaiting the winning bidder.
