Vehicle is for parts or restoration. Please read the entire description before bidding. Up for auction is a 1939 Rolls Wraith with Hooper body. The inline 6 cylinder engine (25/30) was removed 20 years ago due to coolant in the oil, from a possible head gasket leak, cracked head or block. It wasn't repaired at that time. It was diagnosed in 2003 and an estimate of repairs was conducted by Sports Cars Ltd in MA. They provided a list of needed engine parts and recommended not repairing the engine due to the cost of the repairs. You may need to make you own determination, all parts were bagged according to sub-assemblies at that time. All engine parts are packed in boxes and plastic bags , or standing with the vehicle. All parts from the vehicle will be included in the sale, but the seller provides no guarantee they are complete. Parts included are shown in the additional photographs see link below, please ask if you don't see something. One picture from 1982 is included to show the vehicle profile, it is not indicative of the current condition. The main bearing caps, not shown are mounted in the block. It's been owned in one family for over 30 years and has been stored indoors covered. The paint looks original but has some flaking spots. Two tone grey with a red pin stripe. It has a sunroof and the windshield opens outward. Right hand drive. Body and chassis in good condition for the age, no visible body damage. Tires are flat from sitting. The grey leather interior looks original dry with surface cracks but otherwise in good condition, flip down glass covered matched grain tables for the rear passengers. Interior in average condition. Grey wire wheels but also has optional stamped metal grey covers. Internal jacking system allows the vehicle to be lifted for tire service. Electric or manual start. Clear title, 3 keys (ignition, trunk and door?) are included. Owner is deceased a bill of sale will be provided to the buyer, by the administrators in addition to the title. The buyer should be prepared to arrange transportation or contact the seller prior to bidding. Seller will pack the parts in the car for shipping if needed.
