1965 Chevelle Convertible This is a beautiful, straight body car that has been garage kept for 75% of its life... This car features a beautiful maroon very close to the original color. It has a high shine as you can see in the pictures. This is NOT a $50K + frame off restoration, however this car was in GREAT condition before the restoration process. There was no need for new body panels, floor pans, this car has all its original exterior. Several user friendly updates have been done to this car. The original 283 was pulled out and replaced with a fuel injected 350ci V8 engine out of a later model Firebird...the original 283 had NO GUTS!! This new 350 tpi runs great in this car and the fitment was perfect...The motor had approx. 25K miles on it when it was installed in the Chevelle and it's been driven less than 2000 miles a year since. The engine starts with a turn of a key with the fuel injection and the 700R4 transmission will run down the interstate at 80 mph at just a little over 2000 rpms. The brake system has all been updated and the front was upgraded with disc brakes. The car drives straight down the road with NO PULL! AND....The A/C blows cold!!
