This auction is for a 1961 Ford Econoline truck. It was originally bought new by the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs Colorado. All markings and original Air force decals are still present on the vehicle as shown in the pictures. The Econoline did its duties for the Academy then was put into long term storage here in Tucson Arizona. It looks to be almost 100 percent complete minus glove box door and maybe a few other small items. The exterior still retains the original Air force blue paint from the factory. There are several dents and dings throughout the body. The truck is solid overall and only shows a couple spots of rust on the outer lower part of the bed. The inside of bed is rust free. The interior is complete as shown but in need of restoration. The inline 6cylinder engine and original manual trans 3 on the tree is complete as well. It looks like it was parked many years ago basically. All the glass is in good condition with no cracks. Clean and clear title. This really would make a very neat restoration project. I have looked at the very few that are here on Ebay and they look sweet when restored. this would be a great choice because its is complete and has a unique history.
