Vehicle Detail

I found this Caddy sitting under a shelter. It is almost totaly complete. The only thing I can find missing is the breather, one hubcap, and the trim on the left front fender. It would make a great cruzer or a goldmine of parts for a restoration project. The story I got was that it was retired in the mid seventies, but ran fine and had a new paint job then. The body is in amazingly good condition considering it sat on four flat tires for about 35 years. There is some surface rust were the paint has come off, but very little rust through. Of course the upholstery has deteriorated but the dash pad is in great shape. I put a battery in it to see if it would start, but the engine is seized. I pulled the plugs and put PB blaster in it, but haven't got it started yet. I think it will break loose, but you should assume it won't. It will roll for loading. It has factory air and appears to be complete. The trunk floor is very nice with only some surface rust. I haven't pulled the carpet up, but it surely has to have some rust in the floors. So if you want something different and have built enough chevys and fords, this thing is just plain cool. If I don't sell it, I will part it out. If you have any questions, please call or email. (478) 231-4848. Sold as is and where is with a Georgia Bill of Sale. Buyer responsible for shipping and/or pickup fees.On Jan-06-11 at 15:28:08 PST, seller added the following information: I recently jacked the car up and crawled under it to have a better look. To my surprise, there is hardly any surface rust under this car. The frame appears to be in perfect condition; however, the front floor pans on both the driver and passenger side will need to be repaired right where you would put your feet. The body mounts and floor supports all look good. There is a kink in one of the freon lines that run from the compressor to the rear of the car as if maybe a rock or something had hit it. The only other damage that I can find is the a/c duct on the driver's side coming out of a fan motor near the fuel tank looks like someone probably ran over something and kinked it a little. I guess what I am trying to say is for a car this old, I'm not use to seeing the undercarriage looking near this good.
