NO RESERVE!!!!!!! RARE HARD TO FIND BODY STYLE! WILL BE A 25-YEAR OLD MERCEDES CLASSIC IN 3 SHORT YEARS! GREAT FOR COLLECTORS! You are bidding on a gold/taupe 1989 Mercedes 300CE 2-door coupe with a sunroof and single disc cd player. ONLY 3 OWNERS! It has $126,000 miles on the odometer but the odometer broke shortly after we got the car in 2006. We estimate the actual mileage to be about 135,000 miles as we only drove the car around the city in the spring and summer. We bought the car with the intentions of restoring it and keeping it as a classic so we drove it sparingly. The car has its original paint job so it could probably use a new one. Noticable wear and oxidation of the paint on the front bumper, over passanger side front tire, rear bumper and trunk. There are cracks and very visible aging in the leather of the front seats and a small crack in the front left of the kit below the front bumper. There is also a 4 by 1 inch rip in the front seat on the driver's side where your bottom sits. Auction includes: (1) Some new interior woodgrain (2) Newer front seat arm rest (3) Touch up paint for the front bumper (4) New sunviser clips Known repairs and/or updates include: (1) New battery in October 2010 (2) New front brakes in 2007 (3) Transmission replaced with used transmission in 2006 (4) Four new tires in 2007 (5) New fuel injector system in 2006 (6) New antenna in 2003 (7) Single disc CD player Installed in 2006 Other Known Defects (some of which may be corrected by the time sold): (1) Sunroof not opening (2) Passanger side automatic seatbelt arm sticks (3) Odometer broken We have had the car since 2000 and have never had any major problems with it running. Keep in mind the car is 22 YEARS OLD and has most of its original parts so you will definately have to make some repairs and cosmetic updates over time to get it in "mint" condition. The burden of inspections and examining the car are on the buyer as we are not car dealers, simply private owners. Potential buyers are encouraged to come and see and/or test drive the car in person if possible. Must be 25 years old or older and have a valid driver's license and/or have proof of full coverage car insurance at time of test drive. Both will be verified. Buyer's must pay a $500 NONREFUNDABLE DEPOSIT within 24 hours of time of purchase/auction end online via paypal. The remaining balance of purchase price must be paid within 3 days of deposit date in the form of cash or a certfied check (which will be verified as authentic at our local bank branch). Once payment is received in full we will transfer title that same, or the next business day. This car is being sold as-Is no refunds or warranties. Buyer is responsible for paying ALL applicable transfer fees and taxes, as well as transporting the vehicle from the DMV upon transfer of title. Only serious inquiries please. This car becomes classified as a 25 year old Mercedes classic in 3 years and it sell for twice what you pay. Seller reserves the right to pull the listing before it ends if sold before the listing expires (if sold by other means) or the winning bidder pays the $500 MANDATORY deposit. Once the deposit is paid via paypal the car cannot be sold to another buyer. If the winning bidder does not pay the $500 nonrefundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end the car will be relisted and negative feedback left. Likewise, if the winning bidder pays the $500 nonrefundable deposit and does not pay the remaining balance within 3 days of the initial $500 deposit date, they will forfeit their deposit, the car will be relisted, and negative feedback left.
