I want to thank everyone who has bid on this in the last couple of weeks. Really appreciate your time. I have lowered the reserve on this however please understand that this is a pretty good truck and I can't give it away. It has to sell for it's value. It still remains to me a very dependable and comfortable vehicle and if I didn't have to ship my boat from California I wouldn't be selling it at all. Your money is going to a good purpose all around. There have been a few questions I wanted to answer. The sparks plugs were replaced about two years ago with some 10 year hi-performance plugs. The ignition system has been flawless all the time I have owned this truck. Another feature worth mentioning is that the vehicle came from the southwest and has only been in NY for about 8 months. ie: rust free under-carriage and not subjected to winter salting or years of sea salt. Injector cleaners have been run thru the system at periodic annual rates and the truck runs very smoothly. The 4x4 system has not been used very much... normally unexpected winter storms here and there in New Mexico. .. basically a few times a year. Outside of normal greasing the front differential has never needed servicing. The rear end has an extremely slow leak that takes years to drain. I have kept an eye on it at every service and periodically ( once every couple of years if needed ) top it off. For sale: One 2001 F-150 4x4 crew cab pickup with Triton V-8 engine and short bed topper. The interior is very nice and the seats are extremely comfortable. I have been running synthetic oils in it since a got this more than six years ago and the engine is very dependable. I am very happy with the truck but we are tryiing to get our classics class wooden sailboat out here from California and that is currently a priority. I love this truck. Very happy with it's performance over the years. It's got it's usual nicks and dings for it's age but there is no major damage and it has never been in an accident or fender bender. I have a clear title in hand. If you are looking for a very good and dependable truck with some pulling power this is it. It also has a class three hitch rated for 10,000 lbs and has transmission power for 6,000 lbs. The miles on this truck are smooth highway miles from the southwest. The truck came from New Mexico where most of the miles were put on it. It has not been subjected to years of road salt and rough pavement from the North East as I imagine most trucks for sale here have been so we are talking about a very clean and intact under carriage.
