Vehicle Detail

* Fantastic Fastback * This is a super sharp `66 Mustang 2+2 Fastback.Complete with Owners Manual in glove box. This car was tranformed by the previous owner and myself over the last 21 years. This car's story is told with $37,000.00 in receipts and thousands of man hours detailing. Improvements include 4 wheel disc brakes, and a Small Block 347 Stroker build by Somers Automotive with a roller cam, Edelbrock RPM Aluminum Heads, RPM Air-Gap manifold, Holley 670cfm double pumper, K&N air filter, Perfomance DUI distributor, Taylor Pro wires, PA Performance 130amp alternator, March pulleys, ARP bolts, Total Control motor mounts, Cobra oil pan and air filter canister, ceramic coated Hedman Headers, Dr. Gas X-pipe, 2.5" aluminized exhaust. Performance Automatic Super-Streeter C4, B&M 2400 Torque converter, B&M Pro-Ratchet shifter, Aluminum balanced driveline, Dutchman 31 spline axles, newly rebuilt 9" posi rear with 3.50 gears, quick ratio HCC-AX power steering. - This car has a TONE that everyone LOVES. The transmission is fantastic, with ultra smooth solid shifts. If you open a Mustangs Plus Parts Catalog to any page, odds are you'll see something that's on this pony. The body and undercarriage on this Mustang is perfectly sound because it has been garaged most of it's life. The paint is, glassy, smooth and a beautiful metalic that becomes truely visible in direct sunlight. The car was taken down to bare metal for repainting, with NO Bondo anywhere. All panels are LASER straight with no dings, dents or rust. The car was built to be driven, but so far only in parades and car shows and into town a couple of times. The opinion of anyone seeing this car is O MY GOD, WOW what a car. I've litterly have had people hanging out of their cars(usually passengers) going down the road screaming back at me how beautiful this car is. I'm telling you, people really go CRAZY over this car. I've had a lot of head turners but this one is by far is the best one. All of the trim is in good condition, bumpers are ding free and very nice. Glass is all good, is nice and clear and no chips, back window shows a few light scratches. Tires show most all of the tread, they're 215 up front and 235/R60 x 15 on the rear mounted on Magnum 500 wheels with Mustang Center caps and valve stims that are in super condition with no rash or pitting. Taillights are LED with the Shelby look and the lights progress across the taillight lens, it's pretty cool, but if you wanted you could go back to the stock without any problem. Interior: The interior of this car is in great shape, most items have been redone. Seats are very nice with no rips, splits or tears. Trunk and door seals are new. Headliner and door panels are new. Perfect dash pad. Carpet is new with 2 layers of sound damper padding. Stereo is a Kenwood unit with 10 disc changer, 6 speakers,4 inch custom kick panels, and a pair of 2 and 4 inch speakers on the rear panel trapdoor . Custom Grant steering wheel. The trapdoor is original and uncut. Fold down rear seat is in excellent condition. Gauges are Auto-Meter Phantoms, all showing great readings with temperature running 160 to 180 and oil pressure around 75 lbs. Extra's: Hornet 732 alarm, Brand New Optima battery. Plus a lot of new chrome plating, such as new hood hinges, springs, latch braces, coil spring covers, etc that's not in the pics. Chassis: None of the body has been altered in anyway. Fiberglass 3'' cowl Hood and Front apron. Edelbrock shocks in front, Independent Gabriel Air on rear, Under Rider traction bars, front and rear sway bars, 620 front coils, poly coil perches, 4 wheel power disc brakes, Hurst Roll-Control brake solenoid. The undercarriage is solid and original, showing no signs of rust, repair or accident history. - This car tracks straight and will stop on a dime. Ride quality on rough roads is a little harsher than what you've come to expect in your Lexus, but the trade off is a car that was built to stay absolutely flat in high speed cornering. The original owners manual shows the car was sold new at Harris Ford in Lynwood Washington on 12-10-65, it's been in the Northwest all of its life (salt free). The door tag decodes as follows: Body Series: 63B = 2+2 Fastback - Luxury (Pony) interior Exterior Color: K = "Nightmist Blue" Interior Trim: 62 = Blue and White Luxury (only 13% of `66 Mustangs had the Pony interior) Scheduled Assembly: 03M = December 3, 1965 Sales Office (DSO): 74 = Seattle, WA Axle Ratio: 6 = 2.80:1 c"conventional" (* now 3.50:1 posi) Transmission: 1 = 3spd manual (* now build C4) Assembly Plant: R = San Jose, CA Engine: C = 289 CID - 2V Consecutive # = 139258On Jan-14-11 at 23:50:07 PST, seller added the following information: Hi, everyone I have some pics of the undercarriage. If you'd like I could email them over to you. I forgot to mention that all the wheelwells and bottom floorpans still have all the original undercoating without any cracking. Probably because it's been in a garage most all of it's life and it hasn't seen wet pavement in 20 years.. Also I bought this car 4 1/2 yrs ago here on Ebays Auction from a dealer(cascadiaclassic) out of Portland Oregon for $32,000.00 + financing $7,000.00. I have all the paperwork to validate this including a copy of the closing bids you bought it cover page. That was before I did everything to her..I known these are hard times and I expect to take a lose, be smart and make it your gain. Don't be afraid to bid a little it's everything you could ever want a Mustang to be and more. Thanks for bidding and good luck. Keith
