Here from CALIFORNIA is a fine example of the ORIGINAL M3 for sale. I am selling a 1989 ( production date 12/89 ) BMW M3, the exterior is Diamondschwartzmettalic and the interior is Black leather. I am a BMW Mechanic myself and bought this car from the original owner. He purchased it at Claridge's BMW in Fremont new in 1990. It is all original except for the alarm/keyless entry and the stereo with tape deck and cd-changer in trunk. The car still drives great, the engine runs perfectly and the transmission shifts precisely. There are a couple of small upgrades as well as regular maintenance by myself, using the best parts and fluids. This S14 motor has the upgraded (e36 M3 S52) timing-chain tensioner,genuine BMW weighted and shortened ZHP shifter knob, short shift kit, shifter linkage bushings, throttle body to head rubber blocks with upgraded gaskets and sealant. The engine bay, along with the rest of the car are clean and un-molested, all fluids are fairly new, tires are in great shape. The interior is amazing, very clean with a perfect dash,headliner and carpet. The seats are in great shape, except for the typical small splitting of the seams on the top of the rear seat. The exterior is in good shape for its age, it does show a few scratches and dings here and there, and there is a little bit of sun damage to the clearcoat in two places but nothing major. No rust of course.The car runs great in summer and winter, city or highway or whenever. Its a blast to drive and always requires respect. This car is in great shape for its age, but remember it is 20 years old, it is not perfect.Serious buyers can call for info if they wish and I am more than happy to show the car and test drive on weekends or after work.408-507-3022...
