This two owner car was the recipient of a full driver Quality restoration approximately 1 years ago, and very few miles have been put on her since. The vehicle is a very strong daily driver. The body was taken to bear metal, and all rust removed and new sheetmetal used where needed. The original British Racing Green (GN29 Acrylic) paint shows well, with no visible rust or bubbling. The car still has its original aluminum hood and trunk. The interior was redone in tan leather (replacing the original black) and shows beautifully. The tan carpets are new as well. A new Sony stereo with CD player graces the black crackle finished dash and sound great. The vinyl top is in good serviceable condition, and the car comes with a new matching tonneau cover. Her original 1800cc, 5-bearing motor was rebuilt, utilizing a balanced high lift cam, new pistons, new oil and water pumps, and head work. The dual Carburettors were rebuilt as well. She runs strong, doesn’t leak as much as she should and is in an excellent state of tune. She runs a Pertronix breakerless ignition for reliability and ease of maintenance. The original rebuilt 4-speed transmission is excellent and the clutch is new. She does not have overdrive. The car has an auxiliary electric fan, new radiator, and an oil cooler. She starts well and runs cool. The chrome is excellent, and she features working Lucas driving lights. The new tires ride on stock base metal wire wheels with chrome knock-offs. Brakes are new, as is the suspension, including shocks and bushings. The car handles well, and stops with authority. All mechanical systems work as they should. The original wiring harness is used, and is in excellent condition. The 2-owner car comes with an extensive amount of paperwork, including the original bill of sale, photos of the restoration, and books. Some original tools and the wire spare are included with the car. The cost of reproducing this MGB, as is, would be in excess of $30K. These early chrome bumper MG s are the most desirable of the “B” series cars. They are a joy to drive, and give the driver the classic roadster experience. This MGB is ready to go.
