I'm offering a 1998 Honda Civic sedan for auction, I'm selling this car AS-IS for repair. Auto Transmission Good: 1. No rust 2. No major body damage or accidents 3. Paint cleans up well 4. good tires 5. all windows, lights, locks, electronics work 6. New muffler Bad 1. Oil leaks 2. AC needs recharged 3. Needs spark plug wires 4. possible head gasket leak 5. 194k 6. Exhaust leak 7. Crack in rear bumper, minor door dings and scratches This car was driven by my girlfriend for about a year, We had it inspected a couple months ago and the only thing in needed to pass WV inspection was rear brake shoes, that same day it started to hesitate and I found that it needed the distributor cap replaced, that fixed that problem, at that time noticed that the oil was very high on the dipstick so there is a good possibility there may be some larger problems with the engine. The exhaust manifold had a crack so it was replaced with an aftermarket header which is a little larger than the original exhaust so there is an exhaust leak where the new part meets with the original. I don't really have the time to put into fixing it so I'm putting it up for auction with a low reserve. Overall despite the possible mechanical issues the car is very solid, I had it put up on a rack and the suspension checked out great for its mileage, it rides well, no vibrations or uneven tire wear. As I stated before this car does have mechanical issues and I would recommend this for parts as a project to repair.
