Vehicle Detail
This is a 1951 Plymouth Cranbrook four door sedan, with 72,000 original miles on the car. All the mechanicals, the engine, transmission, ect. are original to the car. It runs and drives! No smoke from the engine and perfect oil pressure, water pump is a little noisy. I think the engine will be good for a long time to come, I haven't even added any oil to it! I have rebuilt the carburetor, brake master cylinder, and have completely rebuilt the front brake system. The back brakes now need rebuilt because it's leaking fluid. This car is a real time capsule, I don't think anyone has ever done very much to it. It is still on a six volt electrical system. The car never had a radio installed in it. It still has all the seats, but is missing one door panel. It will need a complete redo on the interior. All the windows and doors work perfectly, no broken glass and they roll up and down good. I have had the car up to probably 55 and it rides and steers nice! It has never been wrecked that I can tell, but will need some floor pan welding done. I believe it spent some time in a barn due to it's well preserved condition. The paint seems to be original and the tires are probably forty year old, but leak no air. This would make a great restoration project, or could be patched up for a quick Rat Rod! I will happy to answer any questions you have, thank you!
