We are the second owners of this car; serviced it regularly and kept it garaged for the past four years. We have no children, don’t smoke, or transport any pets and the interior shows it. Included is a fully transferable bumper-to-bumper warranty covering just about everything outside of normal wear items. The warranty is good for just over one more year or 36K more miles, whichever comes first. This extra peace of mind is something you will probably not be able to purchase for a vehicle of this vintage. VW offered four trim levels this year and this is by far the nicest. This GLX has the 2.8 liter V-6 delivering 190 hp giving you plenty of get up and go. Lower trim levels (GL or GLS) usually have the smaller1.8 liter 4 cylinder that were prone to developing engine sludge issues. Do your own research or ask a VW mechanic and you’ll probably want to stay away from that motor. If you can think of an option this one probably has it… leather, sunroof, climate control, power everything including heated seats with memory, cruise, traction control, the works! IMPORTANT: If you are a Georgia resident, you do not have to pay sales tax when buying from a private individual, so this is 6-8% back in your pocket you won’t have to share with the government. If you are an out of state buyer, check with your DMV to determine if any taxes will be due when you bring the car home. Also, when you buy from an individual you won’t get stuck paying a dealer’s “Doc Fee”, typically another $200-500 on top of the price including taxes.
