1970 peugeot 404 wagon. a very rare car in the US anymore. i've never seen another one in person. twin carb 4cyl engine. 4-spd stick. starts right up and runs and drives. over the last year i have done lots of work to this car including....did a compression check(all cylinders even and strong), replaced & cleaned carbs, tune-up(plugs,wires,cap,rotor,points,condensor),new fuel pump,cleaned gas tank, replaced all fuel hoses, fixed fuel guage, replaced tires, flushed cooling system and installed new thermostat and fan switch etc etc. interior is really nice. only missing front 2 carpet sections and drivers seat base has been reupholstered in a non-original (but nice) piece. exterior looks good & has no rust problems with any structural rust. has had repair work done over the years and has bubbling around rear wheel arches and above headlights. i have the original sales paperwork-warrantycard,owners manual etc. i also have the maintenance records & gas reciepts from the original owners who had the car from 1970-2003!! this is a running driving car with current Pa. antique tags. lately though, it has been hard to start & i think the carbs need some more cleaning. if you are from Pa. i will happily transfer the antique tags to the buyer. with a little work this would be a great weekend car that could become an really nice & rare show car. i am also including the rare original roof rack with the car (see pics). contact me if you are a serious buyer and want to come see and drive the car. car needs to go i have end of the year bills to pay!!
