Vehicle Detail
I need a reliable 4 wheel drive for work so I am forced to put this car up for sale. I really don't want to but I need money for a down payment. Ive had this car since I was 17. I am 25 now. The car does run and drive but has a lot of issues. 1st off the engine is rod knocking. I wouldn't drive it a mile if you want to rebuild it. I have a good running ka24de engine that I will include if bidding passes $1,100.00. If not you can buy it from me for $200 It needs to be installed though. The starter is going bad. It takes me a good hour to start it because of the starter. Right now it is almost out of gas. The passengers side rear quarter window is gone. The dash has cracks. It has the digital speedometer and heads up display but it only works for a second upon start up then shuts off but I know how to fix that. I painted the car with flat black spray paint but its faded to gray and is coming off on the trunk lid. The trunk does not have a spoiler but it has holes for one. I would recommend replacing the trunk anyway because of dents. The trunk doesn't latch and you need a part and to have it welded for it to close again. It does not have any carpet or a back seat. The gas door doesn't latch because the part that holds it shut is broken. The only dents on the car that CANT be fixed by replacing a panel are: one small dent on the roof above the driver door and one under the passenger rear marker light. If there are any other dents I don't know but I cant see any. It has dents on the fenders and doors but those are replaceable parts. This car has almost no rust! I have spent about $5,000 on this car in parts and buying parts cars for it over the years and I am done dumping money into it. I put this engine in and drove it for 6 months then it started rod knocking. It does have custom tail lights that I paid $250 for and only drove it for 6 months with them on. It has a few custom parts on it. Front and rear strut tower bars. 2 inch lowering springs. It has a stage 3 racing clutch with less than 1000 miles on it (3000 mile break in period). $220 racing motor mounts, Cheap short throw shifter, a straight pipe exhaust. The only muffling agent is the 4 inch rear canister muffler. At low RPM you can drive right next to a cop but if you floor it people can hear you for MILES! Almost everything works except the speedometer and I also have stolen a lot of light bulbs from it. It has A/C that blows SUPER COLD! I love this car but I need a 4x4 for work. I have a few parts for it and they will go with. One being a crankshaft. It has a few scratches from a dog that jumped through the missing window made after I took the video. The dog put scratches on the rear interior panel under the missing window and on the paint outside under that missing window. The trunk has more paint missing and some dark spots from using it as a work bench for my nitro RC car. The 240sx S13 coupe is rare. To find one with little to no rust is almost unheard of. I washed the car before I took the video and when I put a battery in it to start it I decided to take out the plastic tray that goes under the battery. I found a small amount of rust here. Nothing a quick sand blast and a little spray paint couldn't cure. NO RUST THROUGH. just a slight bit of rust on the battery tray. I assume its from battery acid. NO OTHER RUST ON THIS ALABAMA CAR! I have all 4 factory rims and 1 spare. 1 tire is new the rest are bald 1 is flat. I HAVE MORE THAN $800 IN AFTERMARKET PARTS ON THIS CAR. MOST OF THEM WITH LITTLE USE, 1000 MILES The mileage is a guess. I had to replace the cluster because the odometer stopped working. You can see more pics and read more about this car here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/208904 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mjfnp1DgnSE This video was taken at 3:00pm on 11/15/2010 If you have any other questions feel free to contact me.
