Vehicle Detail

This is a 208 Dino GT4, not a 308 GT4. These were made for the Italian, Portuguese and Spanish markets to avoid the taxes they had in place on cars over 3 liters. 84 were made in 1978. I am a car collector, and have other things I need to focus on, so my cars are gradually coming up for sale. Car has only had 2 documented owners until I bought it a few months ago. Last owner had the car since 1985. I have a clean clear Title to the car in my name. This is an original European spec car, so it has NO emissions equipment on it. Check your State laws before buying it. Service summary: Timing belt service was done by a shop up North on 10/29/2009 totaling $5862.30. Car comes with the receipts. I purchased a Ferrari jack kit for the car. it is included with the ca. I do not have a tool kit or any books for the car. Brakes have been redone, including flex lines and calipers. New tires, all the lights work, windows work, but are a bit slow, typical of the "308" series. Replaced right side fuse box, left side looks fine. Work needed: A/C needs to be serviced, its all there and will try to come on, but it needs freon. I recommend installing a rotary compressor on it, as it still has its original 1978 piston style compressor installed. Shocks on the front of the car are making a clunking noise, but the car drives fine. Rear axle seals are leaking. There is a section on the left front rocker panel where there is rust. see pic. Paint is faded, but I am told, and it appears to me, this is the original paint on this car. I have had 6 Ferrari's, and this is a fun, rev happy little car. The carbs and ignition are set up perfect. I changed the fluids on the car, because it sat alot with the previous owner. I have been driving the car as time allows. It does not run hot, does not smoke, and it has great oil pressure. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Car is sold as it where is. I do have a great shipping company i use to move my cars around. PLEASE DO NOT bug me about trades. The 1970 Camaro and 1978 Trans Am I had for sale really brought out the idiots. These are toys to me, and I am done playing with them. I am not , however an idiot nor desperate. Questions, or to see the car before bidding: Michael 912 441 2637
