These auctions cost money and I don't have time to start chasing you. Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A BEAUTIFUL LOOKING, OLDER RESTORED 1955 CHEVY BEL AIR 2 DOOR HARDTOP (Real VC55 car) WITH MATCING NUMBERS 265 V8 WITH TRI-POWER 3X2 CARBURETOR SETUP, 16,653 MILES SHOWING ON THE ODOMETER THAT RUNS/DRIVES SUPER AND YOU CAN HOP IN AND TAKE IT CRUISING AT YOUR LEISURE ANYTIME. LOTS OF MONEY INVESTED IN THIS 55 BEL AIR FACTORY OPTIONS: Manual steering Manual drum brakes Dual exhaust MATCHING NUMBERS 265ci V8 Dealer installed 3x2bbl. TRI-POWER setup Stock Automatic transmission Stock AM radio Black bench seat interior (custom but tastefully done) Stock steel wheels with correct hubcaps wearing Whitewall radial tires This 55 Bel Air Hardtop is a VERY RARE car because it was meant to be sold outside the US (with paperwork to prove it). It has spent most of its life in Latin America, Columbia specifically, until 2006 when it was imported in the States by enclosed cargo container to Florida (I have receipts to show this). It was then Titled in Florida (I also have a copy of that title). Only differences between this one and a regular us version is that this one has a heater delete and a speedometer in Kilometers. It's a cool turn-key driver with MATCHING NUMBERS that has had an older restoration sometime in the late 80s/early 90s and has since been driven only on occasion for classic car events, cruise nights and local shows. Along with body/paint, the car had all new interior installed, new chrome throughout, brakes, springs/shocks, motor/tranny reconditioning, etc. Recently the vehicle has been freshened up with a light tune-up, some newer tires and other minor tlc. Interior is in NEARLY NEW condition. Seats, door panels, carpeting, headliner have all been professionally redone. Steering wheel is very nice. Dash is nicely painted to match. Overall a beautifully presentable high-end driver quality interior! Under the hood lies a 100% stock MATCHING NUMBERS 265ci 2BBL. motor with dealer installed and period correct 3x2bbl. Tri-Power setup, all of which have been professionally rebuilt a few years ago with less than 5k miles driven since then. The car runs/drives beautifully and starts at the turn of the key. Runs great and idles great. Transmission shifts nice and smooth. Brakes have been serviced some time ago and stop great. Steering is nice and nimble and the car rides absolutely stock as a 55 Chevy should. I've taken it around town and on the highway several times and it has never let me down. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up GOOD with good luster for a nice driver but it is older and has begun fade just slightly in a few places if you look really close. There is some filler here and there by rockers and some lower panels, but it's pretty straight. Underside looks solid with some prior minor floor and side brace work done some time ago. One of the front rails has some minor weld marks on it. Base of rear window has a couple of spots with minor bubbling. Trunk is SOLID with evidence of prior patch work. Small quarter sized hole at bottom of spare tire carrier. One rear brake line is pinched (I will try to get it fixed before vehicle sells) although brakes still stop well. That's about all I was able to notice. It may need a few other tiny things as any other used car, so please keep that in mind. THIS IS A RARE 1955 CHEVY BEL AIR (REAL VC55 CAR) 2DR HARDTOP EXPORT CAR IN BEAUTIFUL TWO-TONE DRESSED TO THE GILLS, WITH MATHING NUMBERS 265 V8 WITH TRIPLE CARBURETORS SO YOU CAN'T MISS IT ANYWHERE YOU TAKE IT. RUNS/DRIVES GREAT AND YOU CAN HOP IN AND DRIVE IT ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY. GREAT CAR FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST TO ENJOY!. Contact me at (917) 749-4302 cell or e-mail MBOTERASHV@AOL.COM. Auction may be stopped at any time.
