Thank you and good luck. ***** UP FOR AUCTION IS A GREAT LOOKING AND INCREASINGLY RARE 1963 CHEVY CORVAIR MONZA SPYDER CONVERTIBLE (THIS IS A REAL 150HP FACTORY TURBO) THAT RUNS/DRIVES BEAUTIFULLY AND YOU CAN HOP IN AN DRIVE ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY. VERY SHARP CRUISER THAT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN FOR COLLECTOR OR ENTHUSIAST. FACTORY OPTIONS: Manual steering Manual brakes Manual convertible top Single exhaust Standard bucket seat interior Factory steel wheels with OPTIONAL Corvair wire wheels with spinner caps wearing radial tires MATCHING NUMBERS 150hp Monza motor Manual 4 speed transmission I've known about this car for a couple of years now. The fellow that purchased it from has owned it for a few years. It was sitting in storage for the last decade until about 2008 or so when it was taken out and gone through to put back on the road. VERY RARE model with factory 150hp Turbocharged motor and 4 speed manual transmission as well as the optional Corvair wire wheels. I also have some service history for the car, documenting not only the mileage of 89k (which is REAL MILES!) but also some of the work performed to it of course. Interior is in VERY GOOD condition with general minor wear here and there. Seats and door panels are very nice with very minor discoloration. Dash pad has a couple of small cracks down the middle, but not very noticeable. Convertible top is very presentable with no rips that I could see. Nice carpet as well. Overall a beautifully presentable driver quality interior! Under the hood lies the correct and original turbocharged 150hp motor which is all stock down to the original generator and old school type battery as you'll see in the pictures. Starts easily and sounds great with a nice and quiet idle. Good stock power overall and brakes stop WELL. Nice and solid throughout. Steering is nice and nimble. Very fun to drive and you can hop in and drive it wherever you like. It's never left me stranded and always starts up nicely. I've driven it mostly around town here and there and every once in a while on the highway on the way to a cruise night or local show. Good clutch and gears shift well except for 2nd which is hard to get to and grinds a bit. I would suggest having it gone through before going on a cross-country trip, just to be safe. Underside shows GOOD floorboards and SOLID frame throughout from what I could see. NICE and SOLID trunk compartment as well. Being an old car, it is NOT perfect by any means. Paint shines up FAIRLY NICE with decent luster for a good driver. Some minor general wear as you would expect from driving. There really is no rust on the outside body panels of this car. I could only notice 3-4 bubbles (one on top of driver's side fender, and a couple by rear driver's quarter). Not working: horn (works on/off), a couple of bulbs may need replacing. Minor oil leakage as you would expect of a Corvair. I am sure there are other tiny details i've forgotten so please keep that in mind, this is NOT a brand new car obviously. It basically needs a good deal of tiny finishing touches or gentle aesthetic redo eventually, depending on what you want to do with it. OVERALL IT'S A BEAUTIFUL TURN-KEY CRUISER THAT YOU CAN HOP IN AND DRIVE RIGHT NOW. THIS IS A RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A VERY DESIRABLE 1963 CORVAIR MONZA SPYDER CONVERTIBLE FACTORY TURBOCHARGED WITH 89K ORIGINAL MILES THAT YOU CAN HOP IN AND ENJOY RIGHT NOW!
