Up For sale is an unbelievably clean and well cared for 1997 Ford F-250 4x4 crew cab, short box 7.3L Powerstroke. My brother purchased this truck from the original owner in the late 1990s. This truck has been babied its entire life used more as an around town vehicle than a work rig. My brother pulled a very small tent trailer twice and I have pulled an 18’ car trailer with it twice. The truck has 107,500 original miles and has always been serviced by the dealer as recommended. Recent maintenance work included two new batteries, transmission service, oil change, new shocks and new rear brakes. Included with the truck is the original manuals and window sticker! The truck is a fully loaded XLT. Equipment included AM/FM cassette, manual cloth seats with power lumbar, cruise/tilt/air, rear sliding window, tinted windows, tilt wheel, power windows and locks, 1 ton rear-end, color coordinated camper shell (Clear coat is coming off on the very top of the shell and the rear door will not lock), tube-type running boards (not currently installed), block heater, dual tanks, remote keyless entry, tow package, off road package and on and on and on. A copy of the window sticker is included for you review. And, to add, it is a short box which are very hard to come by! The paint and body on this truck are near flawless! There is one minor scratch behind the driver’s wheel (down low) where the truck was backed into a short wire landscape fence. A couple very minor scratches on the top of each fender towards the front – Looks like the mechanic got lazy and did not tarp the fender when servicing the truck. I believe the fender scratches will buff out. The Dark Hunter Green paint is a great color and really sets the truck off! AND best of all, absolutely no rust, accidents or repaints! The interior is as close to perfect as you can get. The carpets and seats were covered since new and as a result everything is pristine! There is a slight wear spot in the middle of the the driver’s seat bottom cushion. This was caused by the seat cover creasing in that area and unevenly wearing the bottom cushion. It is not worn thru nore close to wearing thru but there is a slight wear spot showing. As mentioned above the balance of the interior is perfect. Mechanically it does not get much better than this truck. No squeaks, leaks, rattles, shakes or otherwise – Mechanically PERFECT! I have driven the truck from Vegas to Bakersfield and from Bakersfield to the coast on several occasions and what a joy. The truck is smooth, quite, and powerful! The engine compartment is spotless as is the undercarriage. The very desirable 7.3L Powerstroke runs perfectly and the 4-spd automatic trans (With overdrive) shifts very smooth and is rock solid This unmolested original 1997 Ford F-250 Crew Cab short box, Powerstroke is a rare find! NEVER abused used or tampered with! 100% original and in near perfect condition!! If you are in the market for a 4x4 diesel this is one not to miss.
