Up for auction is this 1987 VW Scirocco. This Scirocco has the 16 valve double over head cam. Over a year ago a customer came to us to fix this car and never came back to pick it up. The following is a list of things that were completed in April of 2009: 12 volt battery, partial engine control wire harness, used fuel tank, new intake fuel pump, fuel tank float assembly (intake), New Bosch electric fuel pump (main), spark plug wire set and tune parts, re-built fuel distributor, new fuel filter, accelerator cable and front and rear grommets, cold start metal fuel line, fuel hose replaced, and metal inj. hose. Basically we redid the entire fuel injection system from the gas tank up. The engine is strong with a 16 valve double over head cam and the transmission shifts smooth thru all gears. The total cost of parts and labor on the car came to about $2500.00. As you can see we are at a loss no matter how you look at it, basically we are trying to get at least some of our money back. Now that the car has sat it does need new tires. The inside of the car is not pretty to say the least. If your looking for your holiday cream puff this car is not for you. If you are a VW enthusiast like us then you will look at this car and see the potential it has. The Scirocco is a rare model and is no longer made. With some TLC, (paint and body) this will make someone a great car. This car is sold as is so please feel free to ask questions. Picture number 8 (of the odometer)is not the odometer of this 1987 VW Scirocco. I will try to add the correct picture of the odometer,(if there is not one there already) but I may already have the maximum amount of pictures allowed. The odometer currently reads 113446 (it is exempt) but I can not gaurantee that this is the actual mileage of the vehicle.
