Vehicle Detail

This Impala SS was previously on EBAY and I purchased it for some of the parts I needed. I suggest you make a list of what you need and when you call or email me I will tell you if it is avaliable and the price. The car was in great shape prior to the wreck. No one was hurt thank God but the car was totalled. The color is dark cherry.Call 937 478-1468 or email glong@bighill.com My son totaled my SS yesterday on the way to school after hitting ice. Flipped up on its side and hit a telephone pole. Both he and my daughter are fine. Praise God for 4400lbs of American steel--one reason I let him have it. So, this thing is totally honked and I don't want to mess with parting, so here it is on ebay. It is (was) a true SS w/tons of mods. It was a southern car and western car (AR, CA, NM) until this fall when I moved to Ohio. This last week was its first salt treatment. Frame is bent in front and the side. The engine and tranny were pushed back some, and the transmission was leaking fluid on the tow truck as he unloaded it. Details/mods below: Engine: 155k miles, roller rockers and valve springs installed @ 110k miles, along with new waterpump and optispark. PCM for less OBD1 computer; I still have the original 96 OBDII computer if you want it. Has Clear Image Automotive tubular manifolds and 2.5 in exhaust w/x pipe; I still have stock manifolds if wanted. Has (had?)RAISS, don't know how bad that is w/wreck (hood stuck right now). Has the composite valve covers. Engine ran strong before wreck. Will start now but something is rubbing and making noise so I immediately shut it off. Tranny: On rebuild #2 just last spring (less than 5k miles) and I had a performance rebuild done (spent $2k w/installation). Course now there is a leak from the wreck, so no idea the problem or if its major. Suspension: BMR front/rear sway bars and BMR rear LCAs. Rear edelbrock IAS shocks. Front LCA upgrade to 9C1 big ball joints. All suspension pieces (tie rods, bushings, etc) replaced @ 110k miles. Interior: Bonnie 12 way adjustables with console control (see pic). Bonnies recovered with Impala gray leather and SS and Impala stitched in. Steering wheel upgrade for radio control; as you can see the air bags didn't deploy (they hit pole on side). Passenger rear door panel w/major problems, but even the drivers rear the arm appears loose. Dash has had the fix to the odometer (resister issue IIRC). Trunk: Has the wood inserts for storage that I forget who on the Impala SS forum made (cost a few hundred). I also have (never installed) a blazer overhead console that is really nice add (I was too chicken to cut my headliner) and I also have a class III tow hitch that fits this. I have clear title, and obviously the car is totaled, but is not currently a salvage title or anything like that. This is only for use for parts, and would make a great start for an Impala clone. Purchaser is required to arrange transportation and obviously will require a tow truck. Car must be picked up before Christmas; sooner is better. I have this for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. UPDATE: While showing the car locally, we were able to see a few more things. The rear LCA on the passenger side where it hit the pole appears bent. Also, the RAISS is definitely bent. I suspect it can be straightened to work functionally, but it may not look as nice as before the wreck. Update #2: Warmed up today and was able to take a few more pics, got the trunk and hood open. Video of engine running is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84kpIXwszR4 I just stopped it because one of the coolant hoses was leaking. I think the engine is just fine for a 157k mileage LT1.
