Up for auction is this 1998 VW Golf GTI. This Golf is going up for auction as a "mechanics special." Though this car is a bit rough it definately has endless amounts of potential!! As you can see in the pictures there is some rust around the windshield area and in some other minor spots of the car. But understand, this car is definately not a rust bucket!! The body is structurally sound and has no rust underneath it. This car was driven over 100 miles to us just a few days ago so it was being driven as a daily driver. The engine runs strong!! The hydrolic system needs some work,( the clutch sticks to the floor and needs to be hand pulled occasionally) but the clutch doesn't slip. It needs some shifter bushings but there is no synchronizing grinding and the car shifts through all the gears.This is a very rare and popular model. In most cases we buy a car, fix it , and then sell it in better condition. We've decided, since this is one of the more popular models, to give a VW Enthusiest the chance to make this VW their VW!! Obviously, this car is going to need some TLC. It is definately a project, but the best part about it, is it's already a running driving car! This car is comes with a clear Florida title and maybe subject to sales tax depending upon your states laws. This car is sold as is and all sales are final so please feel free to ask questions.
