Vehicle Detail

1969 Corvette Convertible with 427 motor, 4 speed with Hard Top included. Power brakes. Saddle interior Monza red exterior. Actual mileage is unknown but believed to be just over 100,000 as odometer is completely functional and just rolled over. Currently showing about 2000 miles. Condition of vehicle is very good. Since this car is driven regularly, has had the drive train and engine block replaced at some point in its life, and has some modifications from original build I would consider the vehicle to be not to NCRS show standards but rather to local show / drive standards. Expect some normal type wear and review pictures. Mechanically this car runs very good and can be driven as any normal vehicle. Also included: 1969 assembly manual, Repair manual, Owners manual, and corvette restoration book. I also have a digital photo of the original build sheet from the top of the gas tank if new owner would like a copy. Car is available for local inspection and I do not believe it would disappoint as it is a beautiful car by almost all standards of those that have seen it in person. As with any used vehicle, this car is sold as is. Do not enter a buy it now or your bid price if you do not have financial ability as well as commitment to complete the sale immediate. If you would like the car shipped, I can work with you to help arrange for a shipping carrier or you can arrange your own and I can take to a ship location in Boise, Idaho area but ship costs are your responsibility. Car is stored in secured garage and can be held for short period of time while shipping is arranged if you would like. Once funds are cleared title is available outright. Please keep in mind that some payment methods will take a short period of time to verify. Please review ebay car purchase coverages on your funding and bid with confidence. All major mechanical and electrical aspects that I am able to think of have been inspected and results are listed below. No warranty or guarentee is implied by this description. If you have additional questions, please ASK through the ebay communication portal. I will give you an answer right away. I prefer to keep communication through ebay for your protection and mine. SORRY, NO TRADES. This is purchase only. Recent service work completed: Less than 20k miles: Brake pads/rotors replaced. Parking brake hardware replaced. Engine rebuild. Flush of radiator fluid. Replaced Shocks. Gas Tank Replaced. Less than 5k miles: Replaced all ball joints, front suspension bushings, front springs, front tires. Less than 1k miles: Replaced rear main seal, valve cover seals, oil pan seal. Oil/filter change just completed. New battery installed. Vehicle check list: Cosmetics: See pictures. Exterier - Overall, this car looks beautiful from distance of 3' or more. Paint is finished in Monza Red (build sheet indicates factory color as Cortez Silver). Up close for the discerning eye, there are some paint blemishes such as orange peel in areas, some minor paint stress chips etc around headlights surrounds. I would guess that better than 95% of the general public would not recognize or notice unless pointed out. Interior is very clean and is finished in Saddle and Black (build sheet indicates factory color as Blue). Engine: Starts easily. Idles correctly at 800-1000 rpm. When cold start, idles correctly at 1500 rpm. Points have been replaced with electronic ignition and choke for drive reliability. Pulls strong across revs. Strong oil pressure. Runs and maintains correct temperature of 190-210 in all weather. Recent pass of Idaho State Emmissions Testing. Transmission: Shifts solidly with no problems. No odd noises etc. Suspension: tests good. Correct ride height. Steering: Correctly corners. Since recent restore of front suspension this car tracks unusually straight compared to other vintage vehicles. In fact it tracks better than nearly all of the modern sports car vehicles I have drove in past few years. No power steering so as to be expected, it is precise but more difficult at slow speeds compared to new cars. Brakes: All test good including parking brake. Tires: New tires up front. Rears: 25%. Tires/wheels are modernized 17" in front and 18" in rear. Seat Belts: Intact and functional. Headlights including vaccuum popup and brights: Tests functional. Interior ventalation system and heater/defrost: Tests functional. All windows: No cracks, Side windows roll up and down smoothly. Door locks and handles: Functional (external driver side door lock only is sticky but works). Turn signals, hazard lights, parking lights: All functional. Horn: Non functional. Speedometer/Tachometer/Odometer/Trip meter and reset: Functional. Dash Lights: All test functional with these exceptions: Seatbelt Warning Light, Door Ajar warning lamps not hooked up. Fiber Optics: Functional. (Some are dim but working). Courtesy lamps: Functional. Gauges: Clock, Oil Pressure, Battery, Water Temp, Fuel Tank: Functional. Clock does seem to lose some time slowly-reset key must be changed with pliers as knob is missing. Wipers including vacumm operated Wiper Door: Functional. Washer Fluid Pump: Not hooked up. Stereo: Functional. Convertible top hinges latches etc: Functional. Top has lots of life left with no tears and window that is not crystal clear but very close. Exhaust: Functional. Very nice sounding side exhaust with JCL baffles. You know this is a true muscle car when the motor starts up and it sounds fantastic rolling down the road. Tail lamps/ brake lights: All functional Reverse lamps: Non functional.
