Bank Repossession for Sale. The seller holds a Repossessed Title issued by the State of Missouri Department of Revenue. CAVEAT EMPTOR is the motto for this auction. If you are not sure as to the translation of that wonderful old Latin phrase, it is "Let the buyer beware". This Explorer is being sold for a small community bank in eastern Missouri. This Explorer was initially towed in. We had the car detailed and in the process drove it about 10 miles. The Explorer starts promptly, shifts smoothly and did not shimmy or pull. We have not had any inspections performed. Based upon the window sticker the car is due for its next oil change in about another thousand miles. We did note that the grab handle on the passenger side front seat is missing and the driving light lens cover is broken, which is observable in the attached pictures. The radio works on AM & FM, as does the CD Player. As for the Cassette Player, I cannot tell you as I do not have any cassette tapes to test it with. The cloth seats are intact, showing normal wear for a car of this mileage, although there is a significant stain in the passenger seat that is visible in the photos. The center console also shows an acceptable level of wear. The electric seats appear to work in all adjustments. On balance the interior is very clean for a car of this age. The grill and glass are intact as shown in the photographs. There are scratches as shown in the photographs on both sides of the Explorer, in positions that correspond to "parking lot trophies". The Tires and Wheels appear to be in fair to good condition. The presence of a 2 inch trailer ball on the back bumper would indicate that this Explorer was used to tow a trailer. This car could be a fine starter car for a new driver, or a spare car for winter driving. It is probably too nice to be a fishing mobile, but the trailering option would certainly make that use quite attractive. When consideration is given for a basically straight body that can be dressed up, a reasonably intact interior and good tire tread depth, this Explorer has a lot of potential driving left in it. This Explorer is being sold "AS IS, WHERE IS" with no warranties expressed or implied. The information given in this description is the best information available to the seller.
