1969 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S Fastback Original 383 4-Speed Rotisserie Restoration Very Rare Extremely Low Production Super Sharp – Excellent Paint and Body Up for sale is a super rare 1969 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S Fastback. This car is equipped with a 383 motor and it’s original heavy duty 4-Speed manual transmission. This vehicle starts, runs, drives, and stops as it should. This vehicle received a rotisserie restoration to a very high standard approximately 3,000 miles ago and has been well cared for since. This is an opportunity to own a true muscle car that is optioned the way you would have ordered it. The paint and body on the car are excellent with a laser straight body and excellent panel fit. There were very few of these cars produced, especially in the very popular fastback body and the color on this one is stunning. Exterior Highlights: The exterior of the vehicle is excellent. The car has been finished in factory original B5 medium blue. The vehicle has the correct striping for the F-Body custom exterior package. The fastback body lines are very desirable and add to the collectability of this vehicle. The fit and finish of the car are excellent. All exterior hardware is in excellent shape, much of which is new or re-plated. The vehicle has era correct cragar wheels and excellent tires. As can be seen in the pictures the exterior of the car is in excellent condition. Interior Highlights: The interior of the car is very nice. The interior was updated to original during the restoration and shows very little wear. The interior of the vehicle is set off by the bucket seats and the 4-Speed shifter. The vehicle has a full compliment of gauges including fuel level, coolant temperature, battery voltage, and oil pressure. The vehicle is also equipped with it’s original in-dash 6000 RPM Tachometer, and it’s original 150mph speedometer. The vehicle is equipped with a music master AM radio, the vehicle is also equipped with a Pioneer AM/FM CD player with speakers that has been added very neatly under the dash as to not take away from the integrity of the original interior. The headliner in the vehicle is in excellent shape but needs to be stretched. As can be seen in the pictures the interior of the car is very nice. Mechanical Highlights: Mechanically the car is equipped with a completely rebuilt (3000 miles ago) NOM 383 and it’s original heavy duty 4-Speed manual transmission. This vehicle was factory equipped with a 383 motor, the current block appears to be date code correct, all block numbers are posted below, we are not Mopar experts so feel free to decode away. The car is equipped with it’s factory original rear end. The car is equipped with heavy duty suspension/6 leaf rear springs. The undercarriage is painted and in excellent condition. This car is a pleasure to drive, it shifts perfectly, steers excellent and has an overall very solid feel, not to mention the awesome performance and sound.
