Vehicle Detail

Here is a 1991 Honda Accord LX, the number one selling car in the USA at the time, a high quality beautiful looking, stock, adult driven, accident-free, all-original California car with no rust, and clear title. As you can see from the pics it is in excellent condition inside and out for its year and well cared for. It is the LX model, fully loaded with working power windows, locks, mirrors and cruise control (all working). All instrument panel info and lights work as they should. The AC works and is ice cold, the heat works fine. All buttons and controls work fine. Remarkably, the power antenna even works which is rare for the age. The high quality LX fabric seats are in excellent condition, with some small stains here and there but decent for the age of the car. As you can see in the pics, there are no tears, rips or holes on the driver’s seat, which is remarkable for a car this age! There are no cracks on the instrument panel and dash, the plastic is like new! As you can see in the pics, not only is the interior excellent, but the exterior is also in excellent condition, there are hardly any dings or dents on the fenders. The car has never been in an accident whatsoever and all exterior fenders are original. The paint has help up very well. There are just a few very small dents up front on the hood area that you can barely see. There is no rust or corrosion as this is a California car. Temperate year round dry weather with minimal rain. You can see the underside pic of the car, and it looks great. The car starts right up, the steering is tight and its suspension rides smooth like new. Acceleration is swift; the engine has plenty of power. The automatic transmission shifts fine from gear to gear, no slipping. The engine does not leak any oil, and there are no fluid leaks anywhere on the car. The car passed smog two months ago with no problems. There are no warning lights on. I put many new items into the car this past month including: new battery with warranty, new 50,000 mile tires with warranty, new Pioneer Stereo with CD/i-pod/USB and remote control, new front corner and turn signal lights (the plastic was hazy and yellowing from sun and age), new glove box latch, steering wheel emblem and some other small misc items for cosmetics to make the car really nice and new. Over $800 total spent! The car really does look like new as you can see, it has obviously been well cared for, and many people have admired its condition. However, please note there is only one problem with this car. As I stated the car starts and runs fine, but suddenly the engine runs very rough on idle. I drove it to my local mechanic yesterday to find out what is going on with it, and he diagnosed the car and said the valves have gone bad and need to be replaced for whatever reason, probably just due to age. Once you start driving and accelerating, the engine is nice and smooth, but at idle or stopped it is very rough and shaking. Unfortunately I already spent $800 last month on the items listed above, and now I do not have the money for this unexpected valve job repair. The mechanic said it is not the best idea to drive long distances until the valves are replaced to ensure no damage to the engine or catalytic converter. I will not drive the car until sold. If you are local you could probably drive it home, but long distance I would have it shipped. So you can spend a little money and fix it and have a gorgeous, beautiful car. My loss is your gain. I just don’t have the money, and I don’t want the car sitting around. The car is in excellent condition otherwise as you can see, and I take pride in any car I own, and I really hate to part with it. I just put $800 into it as I stated above, and I have many of the receipts. I love this model year of Accords the best, which is why I bought it. It is a highly sought after car, for its parts as well. This is a NO RESERVE auction… highest bidder wins this car! Of course, I have described the vehicle to the best of my knowledge, and there is no warranty expressed or implied and the car is sold as-is. If you look at my feedback as a seller, you can see 100% positive, items are always received as described in the auction. Please bid with confidence that you are getting exactly what is described in this auction. Good news for local California buyers, the registration is paid up through September 2011! If any local buyers would like to take a look at the car, please send me a message and I would be more than happy to let you preview the car prior to bidding. Anyway, there is a $150 deposit due at auction close via PayPal, and you must pick up the car within 7 days. You can pay cash for the remainder on arrival (preferred), or you can use PayPal if you would like, as I accept Visa/MC as well. If you have any questions, please do contact me anytime and I will reply promptly. I want to make sure all of your questions are answered. Thank you very much!
