Vehicle Detail
A Mechanic's Special - 6 Cylinder, 4 Door, 2.7L, Auto Transmission, Red Dodge Stratus SE, 85,000+ miles. Body is in decent shape - some dings and dents as expected with an almost 10 year old vehicle. Engine needs overhauled or replaced. Won't start. Was making loud clicking noises before it died in the driveway a few weeks ago. Brother-in-Law mechanic believes the engine is done (apparently customary for these vehicles around this age). The vehicle is in otherwise decent condition as can be seen in the photos. This vehicle is not being represented as driveable and the successful low bidder will be responsible for picking up vehicle by towing or other means. Payment must be made by cash or certified check at my bank at time of title transfer and prior to buyer taking the vehicle. Note 12/1/10: I have updated the listing to change the engine specifications to be correct. When I created the advertisement, EBay 'autofilled' the engine specifications, incorrectly as a 2.4L, 4 Cyl. I am the original Owner of this vehicle which I purchased in October 2000 and I have always understood it to be a 2.7L, V6. The sticker confirms the vehicle model as an SE, 2.7L, V6. Also, the engine has 2.7L inscribed on it. There is a discrepancy when doing a VIN search on Edmunds, the model SE for year 2001 describes it as 2.4L, I4. It is my assumption the sticker and the engine placard itself is the more reliable information.
