Vehicle Detail
This is a 1950 Ford F-1 Pickup. It was Purchased from Ford and used as a Phillips 66 Gas Station Service Vehicle, in 1950. It was used by the Station until 1974 and was parked in a dry Barn until 2010. The 1974 Indiana License Plate and 1975 Inspection Decal are still on the truck. The Truck was Painted Red, White and Blue and had Phillips 66 Logos painted on the Doors and Rear of Cab. There is also Phillips 66 Advertising on the Boards, mounted on the Bed Sides, of the Truck. This is a cool Vintage Truck. The History alone makes it a desirable Vehicle. This would be a Great Truck to Restore or make into a Rat Rod. It would look really great with some Service Station Memorabilia! This truck has a Clear title and proper Identification Numbers. It is probably a one owner vehicle. I have not checked the Title to be sure. The Truck has a Flathead 6 Cylinder Engine and Four Speed Transmission with Shifter on the Floor. I just replaced the Fuel Pump, Starter, Starter Solenoid, Coil and Start Button. Now, the Engine starts up easily and runs and idles very well. It is a little loud because it is missing the Muffler. It shifts through the gears and has no drive train issues. The Brake System has bad Wheel Cylinders and a Bad Master Cylinder, so it has no brakes. The body of the truck is extremely solid, but it does have rust in the Front Fenders. It is in much better condition than you find Ohio trucks. I am posting good pictures showing any problem areas. The Cab is solid and the Cab Corners are good. The Floor Boards are good. The Door are very solid inside and out and on the bottoms. The Hood is very solid and rust free. The Grill and Radiator Support look good. Both Running Boards have minor rust in them. Both Rear Fenders are nice. The Truck Box is nice. The Tail Gate is nice. The Wheels are Original and have all four Hub Caps. The tires are old and should not be trusted. The interior is probably about average. All of the Glass is in the truck. The seat is rough. The Gauge Cluster is nice and Original. I believe the Gauges and Lights all work. The Paint is weak and scratched and scuffed off in some places, but the Patina and Advertising are what makes it cool. This truck is in pretty good overall condition. It could be driven daily, with a set of tires and some Brake work. This truck starts low and sells without reserve to the highest bidder.
