Vehicle Detail
Here is a 1970 Mustang Fastback project i cannot finish. It has a 429 D0VE-A block with 1970 D0VE-C heads with roller rocker arms. It also has a Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold with a Holley carburetor( needs a rebuild kit) The engine also has a Accel duel point distributor with new points, cap, condenser and plug wires. The freshing of the engine included new rings, lifters rod, main and cam bearings.I have not started the car so i can't tell you anything about how it runs. The transmission is a 1971 429 Mustang Cobra Jet C6 (PJC-G) with the cast iron tailshaft and R servo. The car has a 8 inch rearend in it at this time but also comes with a 31 spline 3.50 Traction Loc unit with a date code of 0K22 (Nov.22, 1970). The running gear in this car should make this car fairly quick. The car needs a total restoration inside and out but is a good candidate to that end. As you probably noticed the car has 1969 front fenders and buckets on it and the lower dash and steering column are 69 also. The floors are in fairly nice condition (no rust holes) with the exception of a spot on the drivers side where it looks like someone put a jack under it.( see picture next to last). A small patch would take care of it. The front supports and rails are good and the rear rails are fairly good but are starting to bubble by the rear holes. They wouldn't need replacing. The heater goes with the car but is not hooked up and needs a new box. Some wiring might need work also. I was going to make a drag car out of this car and i do have new fiberglass fenders, hood, trunk lid and a front spoiler that i would sell to the winning bidder if wanted for a extra $800 but they do NOT go with the car in this auction. Like i said this car is a project but it could be a nice ride for the right person. Please ask questions if you have any and i will do my best to answer them. I am selling this car at NO RESERVE ! even though i have a fair amount of money into it. I am selling this car with a bill of sale-NO TITLE! If you have a problem in your state with this- please do not bid on this car. In some states you can get new titles thru title companies. Winner to pay by bank cashier check or wire transfer within 5 days of auction end and to arrange and pay shipping or pickup charges.
