Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is my 1975 International Harvester Scout II 4X4 with a 345 V8 engine. My wife purchased this Scout as a present for me in September of 2010. I soon realized that the radiator was leaking fluid, and that the vehicle had a blown head gasket. I pulled a radiator out of one of my other Scouts and put it in this vehicle, but still haven't done anything about the head gasket. It did start and drive the last time I cranked it. I haven't tested out the 4 wheel drive, but I was told that it worked. I've just run out of time and space for this project so I would appreciate someone taking it off of my hands. The interior and exterior are far from perfect condition. You can see dents and showings of rust in the pictures. The interior has tears in the roof and doors. It looks like a 35 year old vehicle. If you would like any more pictures just send me a message. The front windshield has a crack in it. The side mirrors were broken so I removed both of them. The heat and A/C seem to be working. The original radio still works and the wood dash looks to be in pretty good condition. The passenger side door is a little hard to open, but it will open. All of the lights seem to be working. The liftgate and tailgate in the back both open and close. The vehicle has a 4 inch lift on it, and I was told that the 33" tires are fairly new. The treads do look to be in good condition. There are several miscellaneous parts in the back, along with a spare tire which is all included in the sale. This vehicle is being sold "as is" and I would recomend that it be trailered home. I am listing the vehicle locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Please only serious bidders. Full payment is required 1 week after the auction ends. Good luck and happy bidding!
