My high bidder did not come to view or pay for this car so I am re-offering it for sale. This is a rat rod project It runs smooth, 260 engine. Car is straight, doors open and close like new, as does the hood and deck lid. It does have some rust that will need adressed, mainly the floorpans, and the trunk pan, there is some rust on the lip area of the trunk around the corners as well, Driver side rear low quarter needs patched. The Valve covers do not go with the car, the original ones will be placed back on the car, I removed them to clean them and repaint them. Everything is still in place as it came from the factory, this was a base priced bottom of the line galaxie, it didn't even come with side mounted mirror, and no holes have ever been drilled for one. you can't drive the car home,due to the brakes, I will allow you the time you need for transport after I am paid in full, at no charge. All glass is good, windshield has a wiper blade scratch. Also needs the fuel tank that I purchased for it installed. NO TITLE Not required in the state of Georgia on pre 1985 vehicles, please check with your local mvr prior to bidding, Comes with a legal Georgia Bill of sale. Payment is due in full within 5 days of auction end. If you need a title for the car, look up Broadway title company in Alabama, they issue titles on classic cars for a fee. On Nov-17-10 at 08:04:56 PST, seller added the following information: Here are a few more details about this car, IT IS A RAT ROD not a restored car, that means it has a coat of black primer, but it is not ready to paint ,t had surface rust that was sanded off and primed, the bumpers are painted dull aluminum to make them look clean, they had some rust as well that was sanded off and painted. I have just moved and I am in Limbo with my internet service and not able to upload anymore pictures, I can send them over my phone if you need any, Rust issues, Again I was making a rat rod out of this, it could be restored to show quality if you wanted to and is a good start, Now here is the rust issues The trunk, it has about 4 good size rust holes, one is almost as big as a hubcap, but it is flat metal that can be patched, the floorpans are all in place but they do have some rust holes as well that can be patched or if you want to build a show car, they could be replaced. The bottom corner driver door has a small rust through spot that needs some filler, the rear driverside quarter panel needs a patch panel, it had a long rust through hole on it as well, it is filled with foam just to keep water out of it, Again I was building a rat rod driver not a show car, if you are in the area and want to come look at the car feel free to contact me and do so also send me your number if you have questions and I will answer them as well.
