Vehicle Detail
This is a 20th anniversary Turbo trans am hard top. I have had this car for about 4 years and have I enjoyed it the hole way, but unfortunately it has to go. So here is your chance to own a hard top turbo trans am. For those who don't know a lot about these cars there is a lot of history on these. They were only produced 1 year they made 1550 of these cars 1324 were ordered with T-tops with leather trim, 187 had T-tops with cloth, 24 were ordered hard top with leather and 15 had hard top with cloth so you can see this is a rare car 1 of 24. This car is the 189th built, of the cars. Pontiac released this model for two purposes. 1st to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the trans am and then also to serve as the official pace car for the 73rd Indianapolis 500. But you might not be aware of the fact that the 20th Anniversary trans am was the first car to ever pace the Indianapolis 500 without having to be modified (except for the strobe lights, television camera and two-way radio) to obtain the performance levels required to pace the race. There is a great car forum call turbotransam.com that you can read up on and learn more about these cars. Alright about this car, The car is all stock with the exception of a K&N air filter and the previous owner removed the catalytic converter. It has 60k miles. EVERYTHING on the car works everything even the little things that go wrong with these cars like the power antenna. Ok when I bought the car the A/C was a little low on freon so I converted it over to R-134a (the new freon) with a new accumulator and orfis tube and it still blows ice cold. These cars came with a rope rear main seal that were notorious for leaking and I had it replaced with a new and improved felpro rear main seal and it does not leak. With in the last month I have changed the oil and oil filter, fuel filter, serpentine belt and plugs. The car is road ready and will drive any where. This car has ZERO rust in on or under it. The bad is along the pass side roof and rear quarter panel the paint is a little weak ( I took pic of this for you to see) but every where else the paint is in great shape and shines as it did new. the driver seat has a little wear on it and is VERY common on these cars and is not bad ( I also took pics of this) the rest of the interior looks brand new. I took some pictures of the rear spoiler that is made out of rubber and always cracks on these cars, they have a fiberglass one out that you can get but I wanted to leave it all original. I have the black box for this car which includes the original owners manual, original Indianapolis door stickers and window sticker (they have never been out on the car) key fob, cassette tape (never been opened still in plastic), and advertisement forms for the car. I also have the original floor mats. I ordered all the documentation from PHS automotive services documenting the car is legit and it tell all about the car, I also have a copy of the original window sticker, and I ordered the build sheet from GM media archives, I have taken pictures all over the car to show you how nice it really is and put the car on a lift and took pictures of the under side to show you, I am not trying to hide anything and I have tried to take the pictures that I would want to see if I was buying the car. This is really a nice and clean car and will make someone a great collector car. It has been garaged it whole life and it shows. Let me know if there are any more pictures that you want and I can email them to you. I will help with a shipping company or the buyer however I can. If you have any questions or would like to talk about the car please give me a call. Thanks Robert 205-994-1253 If you have any questions please call it might be a day or so before I can get on the computer and answer e mail. Here are some more pictures, ebay will only allow 24. http://s1187.photobucket.com/albums/z383/yosimdisam/ I know these cars have problems when they sit up and dont get drove very much, but this car has been drove regular and well maintained. It has never been parked for long periods of time. You can get in this car and drive it to Canada if you desire. If your looking for shipping company I have talked with this company before and they have been in business 19 years.
