Vehicle Detail

This is a 1974 MGB GT for sale. The odometer quit working at around 69,xxx miles, and was that way when I got it, so I have no way of knowing actual mileage. I acquired the car about 6 months ago, put some work into it, and drove it for about 2 or 3 weeks. I am selling it because I've had some issues with it and don't want to put anymore money into it... I'm not an MG enthusiast (though it was fun to drive!). It had A/C on it but a previous owner removed it. The condenser and other parts came with it in a box. I have no way of knowing if they are all there. It also has overdrive on the column. Here are the mechanical issues that I know of: It leaks some oil. Don't know where from. I replaced the oil pan gasket thinking it was the problem and it still leaks. It doesn't want to idle. The idleing problem just continuously got worse until I had to "double foot" the brake and the gas to keep it alive at stop lights. The radiator is busted up. This is the issue that made me park it and sell it. The fan clutch gave out one day and the fan came flying off and tore up the radiator. I replaced the water pump and fan clutch only to find the radiator was busted up more than JB Weld could repair so I bought another vehicle and I'm done with it. So it'll have to be trailered away unless you bring a radiator with you. Those are all the mechanical issues I am aware of. I replaced the alternator and put a new battery in it when I got it. Besides these things the car runs great at normal operating speeds and handles like a dream. Maybe that's all MGs I don't know. All I know I I had a blast cornering on country roads at 70mph for a couple weeks! All the lights work too, even the interior. The body is in pretty good shape as far as I am concerned for a 36 year old car. It does have a few rust areas which I've included in the photos. Around the passenger side wheel well, on the rocker panels, and in a couple other places. The underneath has some rust areas too but the floor pans are in pretty good shape. The driver's side floor pan does have a small hole in it approximately an inch/inch and half in diameter. The interior is in great shape in my opinion. There is a small rip in the driver's seat which looks like just wear of getting in and out and in the back where the hatch opens and closes the panels have come loose and been ripped by the springs on the hatch itself. If you have any other questions about the car feel free to ask. Winning bidder will need to pay a $200 deposit via Paypal within the first 48 hours of auction ending. The remaining balance will need to be paid within a week after listing close either in person with cash or by a personal check or Cashier's check in the mail. I will of course have to wait until the check clears before the vehicle will be released. Buyer assumes ALL responsibility for acquiring the car. In other words, if you want to ship it somehow, and I am not in any way familiar with how that works, it's YOUR responsibility. I'm not saying I won't help in anyway I can but I'm not going to take the responsibility for it.
