Hello and welcome VW lovers young and old. Please read ad in it's entirety and follow the terms to the letter. Anybody caught bidding up the auction or if I email and you do not reply you maybe banned from bidding on my auctions and or your bids cancelled.This practice will not be tolerated on my auctions. I take time and money to put these ads together and try to answer all questions in the ad. If there is something simple I did miss or you are unsure please feel free to email or call me anytime but do so prior to bidding. I have here a 1979 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible Karman Edition that has been a lifelong California car that is very solid. I'm going to make this very short and sweet and I will be adding pictures and video as the ad goes along so please check back up until the last day of the auction. This car is going No Reserve and I make no claims of it's value but even a east coast rust bucket goes over $3,000 and this is a Rust Free California car so you be the judge. We just finished having the car re-painted the original Mars Red and motor and transmission ,clutch were re-built or replaced. The motor does not have 500 miles on it and it runs super but will need smogged to be driven in California. That is usually about $45.00 at any smog shop and some cities in California don't require that so that will be at buyers responsibility. If you're a California buyer you will receive a bill of sale only and all of out of state buyers will receive a clear California title in my name signed off to the new buyer sent by USPS with return receipt requested. Ok, Now back to the car . It has new seat covers in black that were just professionally installed less then a week ago, new door panels we just pulled out of the box yesterday , new running boards ,new battery , new Convertible top ,new headliner and all rubber just the convertible top alone installed with padding would run you $1500.00 minimum The front windshield has a crack but is usable or I can have a brand new one installed for $250.00 . The tires are new condition and are the original type tires with hubcaps. I do have a set of Chrome VW rims that I could include that have some pitting but they are nice. The paint is very shiny and new condition only a couple months old and I just touched up a couple spots under the front trunk lid the other day . If you are looking for a perfect car or anything more then a good solid daily driver please go somewhere else. I do not want the headache and I do not want to tarnish my perfect feedback because someone thinks they can get a $12,000.00 car for $6.000.00 or less ,it just doesn't work that way.Now I would like introduce myself as I am not a dealer but I do specialize in Volkswagen beetle convertibles for the past 15 years and travel all over California picking up only the very best California beetles I can find and I have walked away from many more then I have ever bought and do all the leg work ,hours of driving and searching for good quality cars. Terms: No deposit but winning bidder needs to contact me immediately at end of auction and if you're the winning bidder or using a bid software please contact me. If I do not hear from the winning bidder/buyer within an hour of auctions end I reserve the right to offer a second chance offer to the second lead bidder or re-list the car. Full payment needs to be paid in 72 hours or 3 days of auctions end and because this auction is ending on a Saturday payment should be made no later then Tuesday morning by wire transfer or bank certified check that needs to be over nighted to be here no later then Tuesday and no cashiers checks and of course cash in person. I have all the paperwork on the car including the registrations and paper trail back to the last 2 owners .No paypal please. Many hours have been spent at the California DMV handling all the leg work for the new owner and the title is being processed in Sacramento but California buyers will need a smog if required in their County. If out of state you wouldn't have to worry about anything and a clear title will be issued. The car is being sold as is and all sales are final and jurisdiction is limited to San Luis Obispo Country and all costs are at buyers expense.
