Vehicle Detail

This is a 1980 Trans Am SUPER RARE REAL DEAL - NOT a clone, but REAL Special Edition (Y84) - I have the build sheet to go along with car - Y84 code. It gets better folks - this also has the WS6 performance package. It even gets better as this has every option you can think of- T-Tops (don't leak), AC, PW, PDL, etc Car has never seen snow or rain. This was not a special order car- it was a "showroom favor" car given early to one of the top performing Pontiac dealerships in the country. These weren't looked at as collectibles at the time so people ran them hard and modified them greatly- now only a handful or so can be found in this kind of condition. This is clearly is a museum piece -but also a great driver. Recent additions: Tires have less then 75 miles on them, reconditioned original wheels in Nov 2010 (not year one after market). all new weather stripping on doors (including rubber jams etc), new shocks, etc - car runs sounds like two year old car. This is an unmolested ALL original RARE special edition Y84 Trans AM with WS6 performance package and loaded with all options. This may be the best example of a car like this in existence - this is certainly not your garden variety TA- I do not want to sell, but need the money. Please contact me if you have ANY questions- 262.751.3029 Sean If you would like to see the car in person I can easily set up a viewing at your convenience. More on the paint- it def is not perfect. It looks great, but close up there are some dents - small dings from being in a garage. The stress crack in paint on hood. It looks great and I get constant complements, but it is the 30 year old paint. This was also a one family owned car- I bought it this summer, but need the money because of my current job situation. If you would like to speak with the original owner I should be able to set that up if you would like. This also came with the CUSTOM Front and Rear seats. On Nov-22-10 at 16:59:35 PST, seller added the following information: Took the car in to have the engine detailed (steamed) and to see if they could remove some of those tiny swirl marks in a couple areas- ended up having them do a complete job - WOW, does it look good. The guys at Metro Auto Detail on Van Buren in Milwaukee really do nice work- it was dark when I picked up the car so I had to take these in garage light at their place. They were really able to raise the luster of the paint up another couple notches- Also- someone had asked about the car not having decals on the shaker hood- it was buyers option to get 1.) 4.9 2.) 4.9 T/A or 3.) Delete - Nothing, but Special Edition (Y84) Gold stripe trim. Which was the case with this car. I believe that most Y84's (unless requested) came with just the gold stripe around the portion closest to the windshield. People that tribute/clone these cars put that on because they are unaware of this- a great question though. Don't forget if you have ANY questions please contact me on my cell PH# (262.751.3029) I will probably not be able to do much browsing on the net where I will be starting Wed. I should be back Friday afternoon. On Nov-24-10 at 10:24:48 PST, seller added the following information: Pulled the car out from storage yesterday to shoot a quick video - this was taken a few blocks from my condo - on Lake Michigan/Yacht Club (Milwaukee) -was windy and cold (25 degrees) so audio is so-so (sorry) froze my butt off. The video is on youtube now and here is a link If this link does not work - just type 1980 Trans Am Y84 in search, or copy and past the addy below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1LGfo8XiT8On Nov-24-10 at 10:55:41 PST, seller added the following information: Just wanted to add that the OFFICIAL PRODUCTION #'s of this car is ONLY 2,084 made in 1980. Of those how many are left 30 years later? How many are left and in original #'s matching? How many this original with #'s matching in this condition? How many this original and condition with this low miles and you have history of car since new with original paperwork/manuals? If it's not the nicest example of a Y84 in existence from this year (can't find any others on the internet), it certainly is one of a handful for consideration. On Nov-24-10 at 15:07:28 PST, seller added the following information: Please do not bid and retract the bid saying you bid wrong so you can see how high current high bidders bid is (that's a mouth-full)- it really is not fair to those bidders. Thanks, and a quick shout out to some of the people on a couple of Trans Am forums who have commented on the car. I haven't posted your comments, but I appreciate your input. On Nov-24-10 at 19:34:08 PST, seller added the following information: I've had a couple of people ask me if it has ever been in an accident? NO - as you should be able to see from the pics and video- it has perfectly consistent gap lines throughout car.
