Vehicle Detail
We are selling this for a friend and she has a clear title to it. I have done a considerable amount of work to this and have inspected it to the best of my ability. We are not one of those sellers that figure's if you don't ask we don't have to tell you. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and we will answer as soon as possible. It is a 15 passenger. The vin tag in the door calls it a Bus (not School Bus). I have not looked up the engine numbers to know for sure but I think it has a 400 V-8 with a 4 barrel Holley carburetor and it will send this big baby down the road amazingly fast. If you honestly have the ability to look up the motor numbers I will be glad to get them for you. Sorry but I am not a Ford guy. I am an ASE certified mechanic though and can tell you for sure that it has a new fuel pump, new steering box, new coil, new pick-up coil and new ignition control module, thermostat and coolant temperature sender. It looks like the radiator, water pump and a few hoses have also been replaced recently. The tires are in excellent condition, brakes are about half, transmission fluid does not look or smell burnt and it shifts and pulls great. It was previously used as a church van for about all of it's life which would explain the low mileage. It has a front and rear A/C system which blows nice and cold for not being a split system. The heater works fine. The interior is in pretty good shape but not perfect. The bad; the body has pretty good paint overall but there are rust bubbles in the paint, there is also some rust in the rain rail and the bottom of the doors. It is not what I would call a rust bucket but it is not perfect either, one of the seats is split. The rear bumper has a slight twist to it that you can barely see, I don't think you can see it in the pic's. There are a few rock chips in the front windshield. The kids tore the crap out of the horn button on the steering wheel and I have not been able to find another one. The radiator overflow bottle has been removed and replaced with a coolant jug. The engine does not overheat, but the temperature gauge does pretty much anything it feels like. I have run it pretty hard and checked the temp with a manual gauge and it never reads over 207 degrees, even though the gauge is reading totaly hot. I did put a new temp sender in it and it didn't make a bit of difference. I was going to get a new gauge but the wife says were not putting any more money in this thing. If I think of anything else I will make to sure to post it. We would like a $250 deposit within 72 hours from the end of the auction. The deposit needs to be paid with one of the following; paypal, bank transfer or cash. The balance needs to be paid with cash at the time of pick-up. No exceptions. I don't care how much money you've got in the bank, who your related to or whatever. It's amazing how many people don't understand that kind of thing.
