Up for auction is a very nice, rare find. This 1979 Dodge Lil Red Express is a survivor with no rust and 88,220 actual miles!!! This was owned by an older gentleman since 1980 and has spent its life out of the rust belt in Missouri. It is very original and very complete and will make a very easy restoration project to bring back to showroom new condition for the right enthusiast. We were going to do this restoration ourselves but elected to let you purchase it in its original state. It has been very well maintained over the years by the orginal owner. These were a rare truck when they were new and are becoming harder to find and very sought after. These were produced from 1978 when they were the fastest production vehicle made and carried over to their final year in 1979. More information can be found by googling the Lil Red Express for greater details. This paticular truck starts, runs and drives great and has had a Holley fuel injection system installed by the previous owner using the stock intake. It can very easily returned to stock carburator set up if desired for originality. The paint is faded and will need to be repainted, the wood is in good shape on both sides and in the box and can be easily restored to original condition. The left front fender has a baseball sized dent in it, and the front grille will need some straightening to be perfect. We recently had the interior dash, door panels, carpeting and the very small rip on the driver side of the seat restored and repaired and is not shown in current pictures. The interior turned out fantastic!!! We will send interior pictures if requested. Do not miss an opportunity to own a piece of rare Mopar history. This is a great example or a true survivor and in very original condition. This will be a great addition to any Mopar collection.

This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, imperfection, defect or damage. Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgement solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle.
Fees and Taxes
All Minnesota state fees and taxes will apply. Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered.
General Terms and Conditions
Buyer must contact us within 24 hours of accepted offer, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $1000.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of listing's end. The remainder is due within 7 days. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle or sell it otherwise. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before making an offer. Please arrange financing prior to making an offer.
Payment Methods
Cash (in person), certified check, bank transfers, or 3rd-party financing. All funds must be in US dollars only. Please be sure to have full payment and/or approved financing in place before making your final bid. Call us for more information.
Deposit
The successful high bidder will submit a $1000 deposit within 2 business days of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle.
Payment of Balance Due
The buyer agrees to pay remaining balance due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within 3 days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.
Credit Cards
BMW of Minnetonka will accept up to $500 on any major credit card. Any amount over $500 will be subject to a 2.5% service fee
Shipping
The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. We will assist the buyer with finding a shipping company - call us at 612-685-8672 for more information. We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after leaving our premises. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received before the vehicle is delivered to the shipping company.
Buyer's Inspection
Every effort has been made to accurately and fairly describe this vehicle to you. BMW of Minnetonkahas tried to disclose all information known about this vehicle for auction. Please be advised that used vehicles will have typical scratches and dings inherent for their year and mechanical parts are subject to fail. BMW of Minnetonkawelcomes and recommends a buyer's inspection. If you plan to have a buyers inspection, please make sure you inspect the vehicle prior to the auction ending. Buyer is responsible for any inspection charges and fees.
