Classic 1981 Fiat 2000 Spider convertible, with Pininfarina styling. A joy to drive! It's very powerful despite is engine size. DOHC and fuel injection make it a peppy sports car. This is a strong little car and starts reliably. Everything works -- gauges, electrical, lights, brakes, heater. There is no radio or antenna, however. New battery, alternator and ignition lock cylinder installed this fall. She looks beautiful from about 10 feet -- however a previous owner had it painted and did not properly prepare it. As a result, the paint is peeling in a few areas and there are visible runs and blotchiness. I've tried to capture this in the photos. If you look at the passenger side, just left of and slightly below the door handle, you'll see a circular area which has peeled, revealing the original paint. This is the most severe example. There are a couple of smaller areas like this on the car. The body is straight and there is very little rust. (There are two small spots on driver's side that appear to be rust that was painted over.) Overall, you can certainly enjoy the car "as is" -- but had I held on to it, I'd have painted it in the spring. The interior is in good condition with the exception of splitting at the seams of the driver's seat and several cracks to dashboard and console. Door panels, carpeting and most of the leather is in very good condition. This car would be a good around town daily driver, a fun summer car, a great Christmas gift, or a good investment.
