This is a rare Mercedes Benz 350sd with only 122,000mi. Over all the car is very solid and was driven very little by my father. The car has a clean interior no cracks, rips, tears or burns just normal where, 4 new tiers, good brakes and a solid ride. The paint is showing its age and will need a re-spray for a show room finish, the car can be driven as is if you want, there is no rust or rot what so ever. The car ran fine when when my father stopped driving, is was driven once a week and started to run ruff, there is also other service that is needed to make this car a good day to day driver... I had the car looked at by a friend at Mercedes Benz of Ft Lauderdale and was told the car will need the fallowing to be 100%. sun roof repaired, rear windows actuators, head light switch, cruse control switch, A/C evaporator, radio code, injection pump rebuild. The car dose runs and drive, but I do not think the car can be driven far or at all with out repair... The car runs rich when cold she smokes from the extra fuel and knocks, when she is at temp the car dose not smoke at all. The engine knocks at idle but dose not knock at an other rpm. The motor dose not knock on the up stroke like a rod knock dose, & the motor also dose not knock on the down stroke like a wrist pin dose.. When the #1 injector is opened the knock stops. when running on diesel purge the knock stops... The last time I drove the car the MB leaned out on me at about 75mph, or in other words the car seemed to run out of fuel, then after 2 min the car started and ran just as it had before, I slowly drove the car home and I stopped driving the car this may be a sine the fuel IJ pump is now failing and there for the car will need to be transported buy the buyer. The title is clear and in my name and reads 70,000mi the clock reads 122.000mi very low #'s for a diesel Benz as you know... Only MB parts were used to fix the car over the years.. Only synthetic oil was used in service of the MB the oil was changed the day before I stopped driving the car a $65 change using my labor.. The motor burns 0 oil when using synthetic, and has normal burn run on normal oil. There is no blow by "smoke" when the oil cap is taken off the car running. I have a Bhre MB factory evaporator listed on ebay for the 350sd 50% OBO off my MB cost of $800... The car is being sold AS IS, as parts car, 100% as is. I trust no one that works on cars for a living so I will not even stand behind what I was told by MB OF Ft Lauderdale. I am trying to be a up front as I can about the car, it has served us very well over the years and want some one who knows MB to put my dad's old car to good use for a couple 100 thousand mi..
