Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 1995 Ferrari 456GT, RED BARCHETTA with BEIGE INTERIOR I am the 3rd owner of this vehicle. I purchased this 456GT from a friend in June 2006 with 39,225 miles. So, I’ve driven about 8,000 miles in the last 4-years and really enjoyed the experience. I’ve had service done by two companies, including Continental Auto Sports, Ferrari Dealer in Hinsdale, IL and AutoSprint a Ferrari Specialist in Chicago, IL. The 2nd owner bought the 456GT from Continental Auto Sports in November 2002 with about 33,000 miles. So, he drove the car about 6,000 miles in 4-years. That leaves the original owner, who also bought the car from Continental Auto Sports in 1995 as new. He really enjoyed the car, with 33,000 miles in those first 7-years. Now with 47,000 miles on the car, it drives like new. Service has not been spared, and the paint is in ‘exceptional’ condition. It’s a show stopper, period! This is the ONLY 456GT I have ever seen in Red Barchetta. You’ll no doubt find other 456GT’s with less mileage, but the garage queens have their own problems. Sitting for long period is NOT a good thing. Most of my driving has been from my house to the race-track. Let me be clear, I have NEVER tracked this car. The Autobahn Country Club is about 35-miles from my house, and I enjoyed driving this vehicle to and from the club. I also drove it to the Indy 500 in 2009, and a few other tracks in the Midwest. Bottom line, I was never concerned about breaking down. The car has been very good to me. You will notice the 2009 service with AutoSprint. I spent just over $ 8,000 on this service, but I know it was done right, and without cutting corners. Mechanically there is nothing wrong with this car. Exterior cosmetics are near flawless! Interior cosmetics I would rate an 8. If I were to keep the car, I would consider new skins for the front seats, and some repair to the rear deck lid where some ‘shrinking’ has occurred. Both minor expenses to get to near perfection. You will also notice a set of CHROME wheels in some of the pictures. I still have these, and they are available for an additional fee if interested at time of vehicle purchase. The stock wheels are in excellent shape, and currently on the car. MOST of the pictures were taken today, November 14, 2010.
