This is a 1953 Ford F-100 Pickup. It is the Ford 50th Anniversary Year. This doesn't make much of a difference in the truck, but there is a 50th Anniversary badge on the Steering Wheel. This truck was originally sold and spent most of it's life in South Dakota. It was a farm truck and probably never went more than fifty miles or so, from the farm. This Truck has a Clear title and proper Identification Numbers. It is actually a two owner vehicle. The Truck has the "Cost Cutter" 6 Cylinder Engine and Three Speed Transmission with Shifter on the Column. I just replaced the Fuel Pump. Now, the Engine starts up easily and runs and idles very well. It shifts through the gears and has no drive train issues. The Brake System has a bad Wheel Cylinder, so it has no brakes. I ordered a new Wheel Cylinder and I expect to have the brakes working, before the end of the auction. The body of the truck does has a little rust. It is in much better condition than you find Ohio trucks. I am posting good pictures showing any problem areas. The Cab is solid and the Cab Corners are good. The Floor Boards have rust on the outside edge on both Driver's and Passenger's Sides. The Door are very solid inside and out and on the bottoms. The Hood is very solid and rust free. The Left Front Fender has a rust hole on the lower leading edge. The Right Front Fender looks good. The Grill and Radiator Support look good. Both Running Boards have rust in them. Both Rear Fenders are nice. The Truck Box is nice. The Tail Gate is nice. There is a sheet of plywood in the Bed Floor. The Wheels are Original and have all four Hub Caps. The tires are old and should not be trusted. The interior is probably about average. All of the Glass is in the truck. The Driver's Door Window is cracked and the Rear Window is broken. The seat is ripped. The Gauge Cluster is nice. The Gauges and Lights all work. The Odometer shows under 50,000 miles. This may be correct. These old farm trucks weren't usually driven long distances. The truck was originally Baby Blue, but was painted Brown, long ago. The Paint is weak and scratched and scuffed off in some places. This truck is in pretty good overall condition. It could be driven daily, with a set of tires and a little tinkering and maintenance. This truck starts low and sells without reserve to the highest bidder.
