OK...If you have been following my auctions as I help my In-Laws clean out the barns of old vehicles , VW's Porsche, MG's, a 75 Jeep J-10 with 442 original miles on it, motorcycles....you know that I have been brutally honest...I want the buyer to show and say, "Damn Steve...this is nicer than you describe!" Well...this 1966 Karmann Ghia Coupe is the last of the cars...with the exception of one sinking in the tractor shed.....and it is by far the best. I looked this car over, top to bottom, front to back and there is no rot. The panels where the paint is seen flaking are all solid, the interior is beautiful...this is a really nice car. The pans are rock solid, even the spare tire well is solid! It almost did not make it on ebay....I was going to drag this one home...but for the best interest of all involved...it will go the way of all the others...here on Ebay, starting low...no reserve....and NO BUY-IT-NOW..no ending the auction early...period. This car was parked in 1984-85, it has been stored indoors on concrete. The tires are flat and the motor is set up. It was driven where it now sits. I will try to get the tires up for transport onto a trailer but do not plan on towing this away...it needs to be trailered. The tires are just not safe for road travel. I did not wash it (obviously) and it is rather close quarters there so I cannot get a panoramic picture...just a sequence of shots at close range. I took a TON of pictures so if there is any area that you need to see...that is not already displayed...email me...and include your email address so I can send the picture. The car sells as you see it...with air in the tires if they will cooperate. We do have the Transferrable Registration in-hand.
