This is a very rust free and original sweet '65 Coupe which has been professionaly painted and restored. New paint, upholstery, wheels and tires, vinyl roof, headliner, dash, intrument panel, door panels, weatherstripping, door handles, mirrors, carpet, engine was rebuilt. Smells like a new car. Here is how the vin decodes: 5 for 1965; F for Dearborn, MI; 07 for 2 door Hardtop; C for 289 2V V8 (2 barrel carb); 285892 for the production unit; 65A for 2 door Hardtop, Standard Interior; 7 for the color phoenician yellow; 26 for the Trim Black Cinide Vinyl; 14J for the the date September 14, 1964, 35 for Lansing; 6 for Axle 2.80:1 Conventional (This rear end was changed probably to a 3:00 but sorry I can't say for sure) ;1 for the trans 3-speed Manual (I switched this to the 4 speed Toploader). There is no rust in the pans or anywhere else on this car, the panels are all original, it is currently licensed in Oregon but I think it was an original California car. The transmission was rebuilt by a well known Cobra guy but I don't know his name. This car is listed locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells.
