FOR SALE: 1990 VW CABRIOLET CONVERTIBLE 179,000 miles, manual 5-speed. The previous owner fixed it up for his daughter to drive to college and she didn’t think it was as 'cool' as her Dad did, so it got little to no use at their house. We drove it home, over 500 miles, with no problems. It gets little to no use at our house either, so think it needs an owner that can/will drive it and enjoy it. We have some of the receipts for the work done to it. . In 3/08 he replaced front shock/struts, ball joints, rebuilt shifter and linkage, rebuilt clutch, put on new wheels and tires with a 4-wheel alignment. Engine was rebuilt in 5/08. In 7/08 he put in a new Sony AM/FM radio w/CD and removable faceplate along with new speakers. Muffler was replaced in 3/09. We replaced the battery in 6/10 and both fuel pumps and the internal fuel filter in 7/10. The car has been repainted, I would imagine, in 2008. Top has no tears and glass is good. The only things that I can think of, that needs to be addressed, is the glove compartment door/hinges are broken and the A/C DOES NOT BLOW COLD AIR.
