1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible First, thank you all for taking the time to read my ad. I am starting this car off with a jokingly low starting price and NO RESERVE from that point forward . This means I make no claims of any value of any kind. I leave the end price to the buyer and anybody caught inflating the bids or fail to answer any emails I may send to verify there intentions maybe banned from buying from me and there bids canceled. This practice is unfair to the buyer and the seller can loose a good buyer so please be very serious any ready to follow the terms to the letter. This is a 1971 Super Beetle Convertible that has a rebuilt engine, 4 speed tranny,clutch,pressure plate and throw out baring, as well as new brakes and new tires with very little use. Mechanically this is in great shape and I would trust it with any other beetle in the country. I will be adding video of the car running and driving in the next couple days. It is worth taking the time to hear it run. I also have a new convertible top in white,new gravel guards, running boards and other new parts that haven't even been taking out of the packages yet. I bought this car as a package deal with another car and it was in primer when I bought it. I was told that previous owner had over $3500 invested. I have not done much to this car and I no even less about the car other then I pulled the engine out to check if the clutch and tranny were as stated and they are as stated. I do have pictures of the engine and tranny out showing the new parts, I forgot there is a new flywheel also. I recently had a simple white paint job put on the car so it shines very nicely but in no way am I stating this car is anything other then a fun driver/beach cruiser with normal imperfections for a 40 year old car and not a high end restoration. Now with that said I have sold Convertibles needing far more that needed paint and body work for $3000-$5900 so this car is a great deal. If your one of those guys that pick a car apart just do us both a favor and bother someone else . Those perfect cars are $12,000 or more and not under $5000. I do not want to come off rude , but I cant have any problems with this transaction. The interior is in decent shape but the seat covers could be done at some point and it could use a set of sun visors but that is all personal preference. I saw get in and go but that's just my opinion. The windows do go up and down nice and line up good. The chrome is in good shape for the age if not above average. There is a couple little cracks in the dash . I had to help my parents save there home from foreclosure and now im a little short on cash and need this to go smoothly. I would rather talk down the car then have someone think there buying something there not. This car is fun and that is the way it should be looked at, a fun car. Terms: No deposit but a email or phone call immediatly (Within an hour of the end of auction) and we reserve the right to re-list or offer this to the next bidder if you fail to do so). If you are in the lead and will not be around at the end of auction or using software that bids for you just give me a quick email letting me know your intentions. We do not ask for a deposit only payment in full in 72 hours or 3 days of auctions end by bank wire transfer, bank certified funds or of course cash in person. No paypal please. If you don't agree with any of the terms please simply don't bid. If for any reason you need different terms they need to be agreed to prior to bidding and has to be made prior to the end of my auction .This is an as is sale and all sales are final. The car is located in Paso Robles Ca 93446 and jurisdiction is limited to San Luis Obispo County. On Nov-05-10 at 20:56:00 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had emails asking for more pictures, I am taking the car to the park to get much nicer pictures Saturday afternoon. The convertible top is not installed in the pictures. I have a new top that will be fully installed with back window. I can have it installed in only a few hours and will be done free of charge. NO MONEY NEEDS TO CHANGE HANDS untill top is pictured for new owner! That should solve that confussion. Also the title will be sent to all out of state buyers once it is recieved back from Sacrememto. I just took care of the back fees and have a fresh clean title being processed.
