This is my late wife’s car. This car was built by the DSM community to help Wendy “Girlieracr4g63” Pate obtain her goals of hitting 10s. She had a true passion for the sport and I supported her in everyway. She set the record for the quickest FWD no nos record on the big 16g at 12.1 sec in a ¼ mile. Wendy was diagnosed with cervical cancer and was given a clean bill of health in summer of 2009. During a matter of a month her cancer has metastasized to her liver with took her life on 12/30/09. Wendy was determined to get behind the wheel even in the state she was in. It was her life, not to be lessened by her kids She breathed, thought daily, and dreamed of the next best thing or to get advise for better times. This has to be the hardest thing for me to do by moving to this point. Me. Brad Pate have 2 young fellows, not to forget the 19 year old but he is independent for the most part. I will have to sell Wendy’s car for several reasons. I currently have had no car for approximately 4 months…….The 9 months I was out of work depleted our savings and had to let my CTS on 22s go back. Finance companies don’t see the story they see the score. I am laying it all out there for you guys. Brayden my 3 year old boy needs another cleft repair surgery and I know Wendy would want me to do this. This has been a insane last 11 months!!! My love for the DSM community is bountiful! It hurts to even drive the car!!! I gave it my shot at the track. 3 passes, popping all the way down. Last pass, gapped the plugs way down it was smoother but still popped. Got car home during the day to find the biss screw was missing. *BANG HEAD* I TRULY want a DSMer to get this car and take care of it. I really felt that this was the right was to post my intensions here and hope to not get ridiculed for my decision .
