I picked this Bonneville up off ebay a few months ago from a gentleman in Boone Iowa. I was told an elderly couple drove the car into the dealership where he works needing a serpentine belt. The mechanics got into the car and put the car into reverse only to find out it had no reverse. The guy assumed the worst so the couple bought a newer car and traded in this one. I drove the car onto my trailer, hauled it back, replaced the serpentine belt and test drove it to find out that not only was there no reverse, it only had second gear. So i found a used transmission here on ebay with a stated mileage of 90,000. I picked it up and had a local transmission shop put it in as i've been running short on time all summer. I just got the car back today 21 Sept 2010, and now am listing it to move it. I probably will drive the vehicle here and there, so the mileage will probably be in excess of what i listed. Only known problem at this time is that the brakes feel soft. i think it might need need pads and / or maybe a good bleed do to excess air in the lines. other than that, the vehicle stops fine. There are some minor blemishes to the interior, some of the trim is missing or off, nothing major. Minor rust on one of the wheel arches and a few scratches here and there on the exterior. Not sure if the cruise control works or not. Everything else seams fine as far as i've drive it. it i discover something else I'll add to the listing later. Best description I can give at this time.
